DH will no longer do joint posts on Instagram

As per the title - Easter Sunday is off to a dreadful start with ‘D’ H and I already having had an argument.

Some background, we have individual insta’s but for any major ‘announcements/events’ as such we will use the collaboration feature so the post appears on both our grids. Think engagement, wedding, pregnancy-gender reveal/birth, anniversary etc.

It’s our DD’s first Easter so I’ve got her a brilliant outfit, some props and of course eggs. I’ve also got a personalised sort of sign which says it’s her first Easter.

I said to H I’ll get the photos done after breakfast and we can joint post. He says it’s stupid to do this and doesn’t warrant all the effort as it’s ’only Easter’ so he won’t be putting it on his grid.

Agree. First time poster who got lost and/or is bored on a long Easter weekend and is trying to wind people up for sport.

However, I'd wait a while then ask him if there's more behind his original refusal. Maybe he's grown tired of the whole social media thing and would rather not put his life online anymore, for example.

The amount of women on this post tearing another woman down is really, really sad. Get a grip the lot of you - anonymity on the internet is not an excuse to be cruel. Just because someone records things or celebrates differently to you, or thinks different things are important - it doesn’t make it wrong, or silly, or worth taking the mick about. Just nasty.

This is a non issue, trust me. Let it go and maybe look up some relationship books or something so that when something real comes along you’re able to weather the storm. Don’t mean this as harshly as it sounds! Good luck. :)

how did the world turn before we had social media, how on earth did the poor pre-intenet parents show the world how much they loved their kids, what on earth did they do and surely the poor lttle ones were deeply emotioanlly damaged by not beng shown off on a grid on a phone!

Why not just be happy that you have a little girl, enjoy her being small rather than whinging about something as shallow as Instagram "likes". Life is for living, not performing for an audience with outfits and props. Bloody celebrity culture has a lot to answer for,guess all the usual suspects will be parading their kids this weekend
