Trans people

Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Just a thought.

Actually both the clitoris and the penis develop from the same tissue. In some people the presence of testosterone causes this tissue to elongate. So really the difference is a question of size - regulated by hormones- which are also variable. This leads to genitalia in individuals with different hormonal balances that can be ambiguous. At what point does a clitoris become a micro penis for example?

At no point, because they are completely different things. Do you understand the purpose of a penis?

Lostcat · 18/04/2025 10:46

No. We are once again challenging simplistic and false statements about bodies that are being erroneously trotted out to promote a harmful political agenda, by telling the actual truth and educating people about the complexity and diversity of human bodies as they exist in the real world.

DSDs have absolutely nothing to do with identifying as trans

Merrymouse · 18/04/2025 11:01

Of course we do not read this and assume that people called Katie are more likely to commit this crime because there is no evidence of this.

However we can see that Katie is also in the group of people called ‘men’ and they are far more likely to commit this kind of crime.

So to summarise people called Katie - not a threat. Men a threat.

Again, if somebody could explain why Katie is not in the group ‘men’ , that would be very helpful.

GoatofDoom · 18/04/2025 11:01

no, the clit doesn’t magically grow into a fully functioning penis. It enlarges a bit in some women that take T but it does not become a dick. The ‘penis’ that a trans man might have is just a roll of arm flesh down to their crotch and inflated using a pump. And yes You are being unreasonable.

TheKeatingFive · 18/04/2025 11:02

A clitoris is not and never will be a penis. God help us, but the standard of scientific education nowadays is shocking.

Yet they are different because a clitoris is not an undeveloped penis.

Similarly my car is not a space rocket because some space rockets can’t go to space.

A man with a micro penis has a specific DSD that probably impacts his health in other ways.

a clitoris is not an undeveloped penis

Right, it isn’t. The clitoris and the penis are both structures made of the same tissue that develops along two broadly different pathways according to a complex interaction of gene activity and hormonal balances. As such, these organs are not binary, fixed or mutually exclusive entities . Just as genes and hormone balances are variable, so are the structures themselves, and there are ambiguities as to the point at which this structure can be called a penis and that one can be called a clitoris. Both structures can be altered by endogenous developmental differences and external medical interventions.

“The purpose of a penis” 😂 ?. What is this “purpose”? And if a penis cannot and does not fulfil this “purpose”, is it therefore not a penis but a clitoris (as the only other apparently available option according to your strictly binary/ mutually exclusive framework)?

You don't understand what a penis is for? Do you need to go back to school? It may be that they offer Biology GCSE at your local college.

The knots that people will tie themselves into . . .

Also worth remembering that in the period between Bryson committing rape and going to trial he enrolled on a female beautician course. When the young women on the course were uncomfortable performing intimate waxing on him or him performing on them they were warned not to be transphobic

Merrymouse · 18/04/2025 11:11

Lostcat · 18/04/2025 10:43

both these things are also true of some penises though.

Im not saying there aren’t differences, but as usual the reality is more nuanced than people try to claim. There isn’t the sharp/ mutually exclusive binary people think there is and these things are variable- a function of hormonal balances and also medical interventions such as surgeries.

Edited

A DSD like Klinefelter’s is a chromosomal disorder, not a function of hormonal imbalance.

I know sone people would rather that sex were just a matter of surgery and hormones because then it would seem as though it could be changed, but it relates to reproductive function.

I know men can live in a dream world where that just means having sex, but the reality is rather different for women. Hence this site.

What is concerning is that I have seen reporters imply that Bryson only started to say that he was female just before the trial. Yet he was enrolled as a female at the beautician course. There seems to be some kind of denial with some reports lately

No body parts are fixed when anyone can chop them off. Doesn’t mean they’re adaptable, it just means they’re cut-off-able

No. A man who cannot urinate through his penis has a serious medical problem, not a clitoris.

The number of apparently grown adults who think their wishes magically become true if they shout them loud enough is amazing. Your govenment stats are completely made up! My unevidenced fantasy is true! Human bodies exist on a spectrum and there a point where a clitoris is the same as a penis! I've got second hand embarrassment from just reading it.

Thanks for posting this photo. I think a good reminder of how a seemingly average, ordinary item of clothing aka A Pair of Pink Leggings, played such a huge part in changing the course of history. I do hope they get a special mention in the history lessons of future generations.

I think that @Lostcat is under the impression that they are pretty much the same thing. Cos like, they initially develop from the same embryonic tissue in early foetal development.

As the saying goes (or should go), may god grant me the confidence of a pig shit ignorant man.

viques · 18/04/2025 11:28

Teddlesisagoodboy · 18/04/2025 10:08

You guys make everything up, that picture of trans people in prison someone shared up thread is completely made up. Do you not fact check anything? There aren't even that many trans people in prison.

And what do you think would happen if women, and men to be fair, had not objected very loudly to transwomen being put into womens prisons?

Imagine the scenario, Knuckles Smith has just been sent down for ten years, he has already served time in Belmarsh and other tough units and didn’t make many friends there, he knows he is in for some heavy retribution wherever he ends up. So he asks his brief to bring in a blonde wig , a nice Karen Millen dress and a pair of flats for his sentencing appearance and announces to the judge that he has seen the light, and now realises that his twenty year history of violent offending including domestic abuse, has all been because he has been fighting against his inner feelz, from now on he is to be called Charitee and his pronouns are she and her. And the judge, mindful of how he will be slaughtered by TRA activists if he says the wrong thing agrees, and sends him to a womens prison where vulnerable women will have no place to hide.

OK, I am teasing. But if people hadn't kicked up a stink then similar things would be happening in UK courts all over the country. Many people, police, judges and politicians, were perfectly happy to sign off on violent men, some with a long history of abuse against women - up to and including rape - being housed in the female estate. We should thank our lucky stars for that photo of a thug in shocking pink leggings displaying his penis which alerted the country to what was happening behind closed doors.

It doesn’t matter how many, one is too many.

Do you honestly not know what the purpose of a penis is?

”as the only other apparently available option according to your strictly binary/ mutually exclusive framework”

Errr. No the strict binary is, was the tissue to be formed around being a penis or a clitoris. Like streak gonads are still able to be identified as being destined to be testes or ovaries.

Hence why a person with a medical condition is not supporting your statements here.
