Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Gay people didn't go around trying to remove rights from other groups or force them into the courts to uphold those other groups' definition in law.

Gay people wanted nothing more to an equality - they did not want to take anyone else’s rights from them or weaken their safeties and protections.

People can and do have same same sex relationships. People can’t change sex.

Well it is completely optional to believe that other people have an identity which matches their genitals and that having an identity which doesn't match your genitals makes you different to everyone else.

I've read articles (seen headlines, I tend to not read for the good of my mental wellbeing) about the predators who attack women while 'looking like a woman' or 'identifying as a woman' and absolutely these vile men should be imprisoned with males because they're not trying to be proper women whereas the non predators will be trying to be proper women because they see themselves as a woman.

And aren't we lucky to live in a country where the highest court in the land has upheld the human rights of both women and trans people, and clarified that each group has distinct rights?

Its a site mostly used by women, who have seen their rights and language eroded , their spaces and sports usurped, their children and their childrens friends brainwashed and medicated their friends hounded out of jobs for expressing legal truths. So yes, undeniably, many women on here are not happy about how some trans people have spent their energies over the past few years.

If you call that transphobia then that is what you call it, I would call it a push back to being told that womens rights,language, feelings and opinions count for nothing and that our job is to be kind and shut the fuck up.

So gender is real, and trumps sex, how come only women (to clarify: biological women aka The ONLY kind of women) in Afghanistan are oppressed? If gender is a thing why don’t men, who rule Afghanistan, decide to identify as a woman?

I on't think it's true that all transwomen who are none-predators, as you put it, are genuine. There's a large fetish element to trans which is kind of the elephant in the room.

First of all, let me say that all people in a Western society should be be to express themselves in their clothing, interests and pursuits without fear of prejudice, ridicule or threat of physical harm. All people should be treated with respect an courtesy.

However, simply wanting to be a woman does not make you a woman.

Let's be honest here, this is not about biological women wanting to go to the men's bogs, is it? This is about biological men wanting to encroach on women's spaces. And I understand it to a point - trans people do not feel safe in men's spheres. So what needs to be tackled, is the culture of toxic masculinity that pervades Western society, not invading women's spaces and perpetuating the delusion that 'I want' equates to 'I am'.

Oh the “men will attack women anyway” argument… yeah you’re right so let’s just remove any barriers whatsoever to the nonces, weirdos and pervs. Why bother even trying to protect girls and women with boring shit like laws, oversight, safeguarding, dbs checks, due diligence, single sex spaces.
