Trans people

Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Just a thought.

I have personally known 2 trans people. MTF. Both turned out to be pedophiles.

I'll take my lived experience over your opinion.

GCAcademic · 17/04/2025 18:57

Yes, it is shocking and horrific.

It's a shame that the OP's sympathy for trans people has manifested itself by threatening women with similar things being perpetrated on them by trans men.

That seems pretty fucking transphobic to me.

HazelShark · 17/04/2025 18:52

Im with you OP. Its hard enough being trans, and now its even harder.

Unfortunately this site is extremely transphobic so you wont find support here

I imagine it is hard hearing the truth you don't want to hear when everyone in your bubble has been telling you the lie you do want to hear.

But women aren't under an obligation to participate in that lie to their own detriment.

Up until now trans people in the UK have had more rights than any other group. Arguably they still do. That shouldn't be the case. Their lives matter, but they don't matter more than everyone else's.

Obviously a man who is making himself look like a woman, but still has a beard and doesn't shave his legs/arms/chest/back etc should not be toileting in a female toilet.
But if he really wants to live like a woman and is not allowed in a female loo, what's the chances of him getting beaten up in a male loo??

Yet again, male violence is apparently a women's problem. Sorry but no: men in the men's, and beating anyone up is a criminal offence. The answer to male violence is not to let them use the ladies'. What happens then? Gay men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a homophobic thug? Black men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a racist thug? Police officer - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by some anti-police thugs? Short men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a bigger thug? Men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a thug?

We are not support characters in a male story.

I wasn't suggesting that we allow them to use the womens loo in case they get beaten up..... I was just being a bit compassionate to their cause by asking a genuine question of those who really want to wear dresses and make up and identify as female but are comfortable with having their beard..... where is safe for them to go? Because they obviously can't use a women's toilet because he still looks like a man but could be attacked for just trying to live as they want to in a men's facility.

I'm not talking about the predators here.

Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yodeldodeldo · 17/04/2025 18:57

I think women in hospital and many women in prisons are actually vulnerable populations.

There is a safeguarding responsibility to these women which has to take priority.

So there'll need to be provision of a third space.

HazelShark · 17/04/2025 18:57

JandamiHash · 17/04/2025 18:54

How will it be harder? Trans people are still protected, as trans people

If nothing else, this has just added fuel to the anti-trans agenda. These posts are proof of that. Just let people be who they want to be - no one chooses to make their own life harder by being trans.

I always wonder why people think women can’t tell that transwomen are men. Women are pretty good at identifying men in person. It’a only ever transwomen claiming that they completely pass. Women are often too polite or too scared to confront men who invade their spaces. Thats why women don’t always say anything not because Davina the unit passes.

I genuinely think if someone believes/wishes they are a woman, thats entirely their own business and shouldn’t be harrassed or discriminated against for it. However they are not actual women, it’s so utterly stupid to put mens feelings before womens safety.

Edited

Yes there is a lovely trans women who works in a local shop. But she is very clearly a he despite the hair and make up and nails.

Lovely nails at that I’ve complemented them before when they had a really intricate paint job.

But when not in a nice friendly environment it’s that hair on the back of your neck and that uncomfy feeling. You know something not right but likely won’t say anyway. I’ve had to shh a child asking why that man is wearing a dress before boobs the lot but if a young child can tell you can tell.

viques · 17/04/2025 18:26

Your friend is a man.

Your friend does not have a vagina, because your friend is a man

Men who have had extreme genital surgery have an internal pouch made from their inverted penis, it might act as a receptacle for sexual purposes, but it is not a vagina, does not self clean and has to be manually cleaned and kept open by dilation.

Cool.
Thanks for the lesson.

Teddlesisagoodboy · 17/04/2025 18:58

What I don't understand about all these idiots going on about no penis in female places is what is to stop any man wandering in a female toilet right now, if that's what they want to do. If they want to go in a toilet and molest someone, which tbh most of them don't bother to go to that effort to molest someone, then they can? There's no bouncers on the door. What is the issue. Are you all terrified of men if you are say alone with them other places, like at work, or seeing the doctor or dentist or something. You are all so embassing.

This isn’t women’s problem to solve. Take it up with the men who will apparently beat him up. Women don’t have to give men all the answers.

If it is harder being trans why don't you stop? Genuine question. Why do men think they can change sex by wearing clothes generally worn by women?

I'm not transphobic just as has been said repeatedly you can't change sex.

But gay men, disabled men, any men who are different in any way, sometimes get attacked in men’s toilets too. They don’t get any special accommodations.

Tackling male violence is very much needed but how we do that effectively, I don’t know.

Fimofriend · 17/04/2025 18:59

The clitoris is used in the making of the penis.

But it is not fully functioning. Not even close.

Not our problem.

Why aren't men beating themselves up asking themselves why a subset of their sex class don't feel comfortable in their toilets? Do you think this even occurs to them over on Pistonheads?

"Just let them be who they want to be" sounds so reasonable, doesn't it?

What they want is to deny women the exact same rights they demand for themselves.

Fimofriend · 17/04/2025 19:00

BryantVibes · 17/04/2025 16:56

While I agree that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, I don’t believe we should be ignoring biological reality in the name of inclusivity. This isn’t about hatred or discrimination — it’s about protecting single-sex spaces and ensuring the safety, dignity, and privacy of women, particularly in vulnerable settings like hospital wards and prisons.

Allowing biological males into female-only spaces creates a safeguarding risk. There have already been incidents where this policy has been abused, and brushing these off as isolated cases ignores the very reason we have safeguarding protocols in the first place. We don’t base those on feelings or self-declared identity — we base them on facts, risk, and protecting the vulnerable.

The OP suggests we’ve all shared toilets with trans women without knowing it — that may be true, but the point is, when a person is biologically male and legally allowed to access women’s spaces, it undermines the purpose of those protections. Everyone has the right to live as they choose, but not when it compromises others’ rights to safety and privacy.

It is not true. In real life, you can tell.

No I won’t let people be who they want to e when it puts the privacy, safety dignity and agency of me and my DD at risk.

Are you saying women should give up hard fought for safe spaces to prevent a load of men experiencing extra “fuel”? Sounds pretty hateful to me, towards women

Why lock your doors when a burglar can break the window and get in anyway? Why do DBS checks on teachers when predators can and do slip through the net anyway?

Of course banning men from women’s toilets won’t always stop men getting in, but at least now, when they do we can try to raise the alarm and ask for help instead of being called evil terf bigots.

such a stupid argument.

One thing I think of is that there are people who lost their jobs, livelihoods, got cancelled, because they feel that a woman is an adult human female.

i don’t really care about whose toilet someone wees in but i care about people being allowed to have an opinion that is not the same as theirs.

this

That they shouldn't be in spaces for members of the opposite sex?

Did we really, Hazel?

I do not think so.

No we didn’t . Gay people weren’t trying to force their way into women’s spaces.

Again - why is it the problem of women to pave the way for men, to their own detriment? Why can’t men do it themselves?

OnyourbarksGSG · 17/04/2025 19:03

You honestly think that a kidney can become a liver , or an arm becomes a leg… just because Drs surgically reshape it? Do you honestly believe that ? Because most people live their lives based in reality and practicality. Something doesn’t become real just because you say so.
