Trans people

Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Just a thought.

The clitoris is used in the making of the penis.

Who's making a clitoris into a penis?

That's right, they just go for something that looks like a bulge and hope it doesn't get infected, atrophy or fall off in the future. There doesn't seem to be the drive to get the plumbing right for transmen.

Correct. There was a channel four programme that showed this in full. It might be available on X

All faux sex organs do not function.
Teenagers are told they can have this surgery by their online 'friends'. For me that is both a lie and sinister.(please see Chloe Cole and Doctor Soh for more information on transmen). I've spent eight years researching trans ideology due to a family member. I've been called a terf, threatened, accused of being a disgusting example of a mother etc.

I'm tall and very capable of looking after myself but I object to sharing changing rooms with men, trans or no. If you are a trans person go about your business and keep out of my disabled toilet if you are going to pee on my seat!
Unisex toilets you all know are disgusting.

Also any bloke can put a frock on and say I’m a woman and thus magically be allowed in spaces he wouldn’t be - which is a sex offender’s dream and an insult to actual trans people and that is the huge issue with ‘self ID’ and respecting everyone who claims to be a woman without question because it’s ‘transphobic’

I fully agree. Imagine Pervert Pete is convicted of raping women. He puts on a dress and "has" to go to woman's prison....where's the logic in that?

RedHelenB · 17/04/2025 18:28

You're right, it's all hypothetical. Finally the child has spoken as in the Emperors new clothes and we can go back to the blindingly obvious again.

The suicide threats are classic abusive male aren't they? Very "If you leave me, I'll kill myself" vibes.

How often do we read this on the Relationships thread? Classic abusive male. They all try and appeal to female socialisation.

If you are going to make this accusation you should qoute where people have posted transphobic remarks. Otherwise I accuse you of chatting shite with zero substance.

Come on.

I reported two posts yesterday for hate speech which were deleted. In practice it is difficult to quote transphobic remarks when they no longer exist.

vickylou78 · 17/04/2025 18:37

Personally I would like for transpeople to be protected and not discriminated against and I don't mind what they want to say their gender is or what they wear etc. Each to their own. Live and let live.

But women deserve to have women's well fought rights. We deserve our women's spaces, women's wards and prison, fair sports etc.

guiling · 17/04/2025 18:39

I see no hatred towards trans here, just women standing up for women. Everyone i know irl male and female thinks this news is common sense and long overdue. But if you say this in front of certain people you get labelled transphobic. Supporting women does not equal hating trans people. Women are not the ones creating this narrative that pits groups against each other.

SpidersAreShitheads · 17/04/2025 18:40

@MusicMakesItAllBetter I'm sorry for your friend because I'm sure all of this makes it difficult for them. To answer your question, your friend is a man - albeit one who has chosen to live as a woman. And that's perfectly OK.

The cynical side of me wonders how well they really do pass if they went through male puberty, but I'll take your word for saying that they do. It's very few transwomen who genuinely pass as a woman in real life - photos can be quite deceiving, but in real life there's usually a few clues.

I think it's difficult for people who have close friends who are trans people. Because you accept your friend for the person that they are, including how they choose to identify, so thinking about their biological reality can cause cognitive dissonance.

I have said many times that I feel really sorry for trans people who don't take women's places, invade their spaces, or speak over us. The problem isn't people who are just trying to quietly get on with their lives - it's the majority who overstepped the mark and have been aggressively trying to erode women. Trans women like India bloody Willoughby insisting that they ARE biological women and that there's no difference between them and actual women.

The group that have pushed women too far are to blame for the current situation. I think at the start most women were happy to turn a blind eye. But the push, push, push at our rights, and the constant attacks on women's rights has peaked many of us.

The other problem is that there's quite a lot of groups under the trans umbrella. It's no longer just the small group with gender dysphoria - there's also those who get a sexual kick out of it, such as AGPs. And then of course there's a large group of predators who disproportionately claim a trans identity.

Image attached showing the much greater number of sexual offenders in the trans community - numbers from HM Prison.

We know there are lots of perfectly nice, lovely people with a trans identity. The trouble is, there's plenty who aren't - and there are some who actively want to harm women.

See.... I'm so .... Muddled with my opinion on this.

I have no issue with true trans people.
Those with body dysmorphia.
I'm friends with someone who was born a boy, knew from about 5/6 that he didn't feel right. By 12 he knew that he was in the wrong body.
'He' has been an almost fully functional woman for the last 18 years and she looks like a woman. She's beautiful.
Happily married, gorgeous husband and home. The one thing missing from her life is having a baby.
Obviously when we met I had no idea she said as trans and was surprised when she told me. I'd have no problem going to the toilet with her and would even share the cubicle with her if required for whatever reason.

I sent her a YouTube video with some 'trans' people in America who were in court arguing their rights for this and that. Some of them didn't even look like men or women. They were just, out there?
I asked her what she thought of them and her reply was along the lines of, oh those trans. The ones who give us a bad name.

However.

A woman is someone who from birth has reproductive organs to be able to grow life (medical issues exempt) and have a baby.

So is my friend a woman?
She looks like one.
She has a vagina.

Obviously a man who is making himself look like a woman, but still has a beard and doesn't shave his legs/arms/chest/back etc should not be toileting in a female toilet.
But if he really wants to live like a woman and is not allowed in a female loo, what's the chances of him getting beaten up in a male loo??
If he's comfortable, is it that he HAS to shave the beard or should he stay confined to his home?

In terms of sports, biological born males should not compete with biological born females for the simple reason it could/would give the BM an advantage as they are 'generally' faster/stronger.

Not all trans people are perverse but there is large amount of them who are helping encourage kids to be trans and that's not ok.

I was with a friend yesterday and she was telling me of someone she knows who very much wanted a girl. Got a boy and basically he lives a girls life and she's done nothing but treat him like a girl since he was a baby. Pink everything. The child is fully ok with it because it's all they've known.

How fucked is that???

Your friend does not have a vagina. 🙄

CarrotParrot · 17/04/2025 18:41

Yet again, male violence is apparently a women's problem. Sorry but no: men in the men's, and beating anyone up is a criminal offence. The answer to male violence is not to let them use the ladies'. What happens then? Gay men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a homophobic thug? Black men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a racist thug? Police officer - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by some anti-police thugs? Short men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a bigger thug? Men - use the ladies' in case you get beaten up by a thug?

We are not support characters in a male story.

User37482 · 17/04/2025 18:42

I always wonder why people think women can’t tell that transwomen are men. Women are pretty good at identifying men in person. It’a only ever transwomen claiming that they completely pass. Women are often too polite or too scared to confront men who invade their spaces. Thats why women don’t always say anything not because Davina the unit passes.

I genuinely think if someone believes/wishes they are a woman, thats entirely their own business and shouldn’t be harrassed or discriminated against for it. However they are not actual women, it’s so utterly stupid to put mens feelings before womens safety.

Haven’t read the whole thread, so you’ve probably already been disabused of the idea that any transman has a fully working penis

And given a woman in a hospital ward was raped by a transwoman, and then gaslit by the hospital saying that “no male patients were on the ward”, I think any woman is being entirely reasonable to want to be in a single sex space while she is so vulnerable

Bingbopboomboomboombopbam · 17/04/2025 18:45

We can be trans allies and want trans people to be safeguarded while also safeguarding cis women who simply want single sex spaces for whatever reason that may be.

TheyreStillGoingWithThemPlumsKerr · 17/04/2025 18:50

All this self-indulgent navel-gazing nonsense by a few (and their allies) is all getting so tiresome. I’m a woman and, even if I wanted to, I can’t turn into a man, a cat or a unicorn.
Day isn’t night. A gerbil’s not a hamster. I could go on.
Just give it a rest now!

How original, OP. Threatening women with a penis in our spaces, just like every other trans activist. Or, at least, what you incorrectly think is a penis. It isn't.

We are not ‘cis women’ just the word women is sufficient thank you.

JandamiHash · 17/04/2025 18:55

Can I just clarify, is stating the fact that men can’t be women what people mean when they claim MN is transphobic?

Because if that’s the case the transphobia accusation doesn’t scare or worry me. Throwing an accusatory word at people who won’t pander to delusion isn’t going to have an effect here

LifeonMarss · 17/04/2025 18:56

The law hasn't changed btw, its the same as it has been since the equality act was passed. The ruling was to clarify that which is already law, trans people have protections under the gender reassignment sub-section of the equality act and biological women have protection under the sex sub-section. It has been this way (or should have been this way, it hasn't been being enforced hence the need for the clarification) since the equality act passed. Trans people have lost 0 rights under this ruling, they've had the same rights they have had since 2010.

What’s hard about it? They’ve had the whole country bending over backwards to accommodate them. Women have been arrested, fired and shunned for saying a man can’t be a woman. Our spaces have been given over to them unlawfully and despite our wishes.

The balance is now being restored. That’s all. Transpeople will rightly still be protected from discrimination - they’re just not getting all their unreasonable demands met.
