Disgusting, poor prison officers.

What to do with scum like this?

As if it wasn't bad enough about the bombing he planned, he now wants to attack staff?
Do we need him?

Hashem Abedi, Manchester Arena bomber's brother, attacks prison officers

Three officers have been treated in hospital, the Prison Service said, adding police were investigating.

Why was he around hot oil? Surely that's a massive potential risk to harm others - staff or other prisoners.

How he did he manage to create those weapons and use them?

PassingStranger · 12/04/2025 19:58

Why does he want to be a nasty bastard?

It’s horrendous.

I’m totally against capital punishment but I do wonder what the people like him actually contribute to humanity. A total waste of oxygen.

Are you asking why a violent criminal wants to be nasty?
Its because he's a vile thug with a screw loose.

MissAmbrosia · 12/04/2025 20:01

Do you think these things don't happen all the time? That prisoners attack dont staff and each other? This is just more fucking dog-whistle racist crap.

Prisoners spend an awful lot of time and effort creating weapons. Prison staff spend an awful lot of time trying to stop them.

This piece of shit hurt three people who were just doing their jobs. Frankly, I'd cut his fucking hands off.

TheMovieFlopped · 12/04/2025 20:01

Bring back hanging!

WearyAuldWumman · 12/04/2025 20:02

If prisoners are in that particular facility, it's because they're beyond rehabilitation. Give them a bed and a toilet in a cell. That's enough.

What "particular facility" are you referring to? Frankland? Or the Separation Centre?

The Separation Centre.

ScrewedByFunding · 12/04/2025 20:08

Just to confirm, it's the bombers brother that did this. Evil the pair of them. What must their family think?

Hazey19 · 12/04/2025 20:10

Being a prison officer must be one of the hardest and least appreciated jobs ever. Such a difficult job.

PonyPatter44 · 12/04/2025 20:11

WearyAuldWumman · 12/04/2025 20:08

The Separation Centre.

Unfortunately, he isn't serving a whole life sentence, so we have to try and rehabilitate him. I think we'd have more success teaching my cat to recite rhyming couplets in Swahili, but its what we have to do, because one day the piece of shit will come out of prison and no doubt hurt someone else. I'd still chop his hands off. Those poor officers.

PassingStranger · 12/04/2025 20:12

Leave a rope in the cell.

I understand how they create the weapons.

I don't understand the access to hot oil. Was he working in a kitchen. Was it in a kettle?

I should hope that the attacks outlined in the report would mean that he'll never be released.

I know of someone who attacked a child and was released after a short sentence. He attacked a disabled woman after being released. He's now in a facility for the criminally insane for life.

Either the assailant here knew what he was doing and is simply evil or he's insane.

alcoholnightmare · 12/04/2025 20:17

Piece of shit. Put him in gen pop and see how he survives

user1471453601 · 12/04/2025 20:23

@PassingStranger What do you mean when you say "do we need him"?

are you saying he shouldn't be alive because he serves no useful function you can identify?

or are you saying he shouldn't be in this country?

it's a moot question, I guess, because I disagree with both those explanations.

but perhaps you have another interpretation that I've not thought of?

this is not to say that what he did wasn't wicked, it was. It's just questioning where you think he should be, if your mythical "we" don't need him.

I mean tbf theres a difference between people who don’t contribute much and people who actively harm. I’m fine with people who actively harm being permanently removed from society. Wish we had an island we could just drop them off to thats impossible to escape from.

Couldn't agree with you more. I had a family member who was a prison officer. Really impacted on their mental health, sadly but understandably.

Dontletthebedbugsbite2 · 12/04/2025 20:38

It's actually the 2nd time he has attacked and injured prison staff. These humans offer nothing to the planet. They are extremists who have nothing but hatred in them & yet we house, feed & clothes them at cost to the taxpayer. They hate everyone and everything in this country - there is no benefit to keeping them alive. I would absolutely bring back the death penalty.
