Husband told the bride her dress was beautiful

My husband told the bride her dress was beautiful, but when i showed him my dress idea, which was very similar, he said he didn't like it. He claims he doesn’t recall her dress being similar. Does it appear he finds the bride attractive not the dress?

If a bride is wearing burlap you say omg your dress is lovely and suits you so well. Honestly that’s about the only appropriate thing to say. When my husband had a chance to look over me in my dress he told me I looked like one of those dolls you used to cover a toilet roll.
