I'd love a utility room. It would be great to have my Lakeland heated airer hidden away from view.

I'd also love a bidet. My bathroom, alas, simply isn't big enough. I'm British, but it does surprise me a bit that they've never really taken off in this country. I'd love to have a freshen up down below, just whenever.

Anyway, what about you?

A utility room with a shower as we only have one bathroom
We do technically have a utility, it's a side return/lean to single skin brick extension that is the stuff of nightmares. I want a clean bright room with underfloor heating and velux windows ❤️

Ponderingwindow · 21/02/2025 17:14

get a bidet topper seat. They are amazing. We loved ours so much we upgraded the one in our primary bathroom and moved the older one to the second. So much better for your body.

as for me…

A mudroom/entryway that stores coats and shoes and just generally keeps the outside contained. Our coat closet isn’t even by the door we actually use.

a utility sink. I could probably actually add this if I got my act together. I have a spot it could go.

takealettermsjones · 21/02/2025 17:16

Why did we need to know the brand of the heated airer 🤣

Ciri · 21/02/2025 17:21

Another patio
Pool
Outdoor kitchen
Breezeway connecting the house to the annexe

Kuretake · 21/02/2025 17:22

Driveway and garden and a downstairs loo.

Sunshineclouds11 · 21/02/2025 17:23

Garage
Utility
En-suite

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 21/02/2025 17:25

An upstairs loo. Really don't mind the downstairs bathroom usually, but just sometimes I could do with a toilet to hand. I've got an upstairs cupboard that would be good but there's no water upstairs so it would be complicated. Bugger.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 21/02/2025 17:32

A Hermes blanket. I have nothing Hermes or remotely designer and it's a terrible idea as would get ruined and it's insanely overpriced and I can't afford it. But I want one so badly 😂

In terms of extending, I would like a gift wrapping room 😂 (never going to happen) ~ more realistically I want a nicer shed with decent storage.

Comedycook · 21/02/2025 17:33

Yes I'd also love a utility room.

Also if we're letting our imagination run wild, I'd love a swimming pool!

MidnightPatrol · 21/02/2025 17:34

About 1,000 square feet would be nice.

GoldMoon · 21/02/2025 17:37

I'd love my own bedroom , dh is a snorer and he also clears his throat in his sleep and moves around a lot .
He is also a duvet thief .
My own room , own bed & own duvet would be bliss .

bellalou1234 · 21/02/2025 17:42

Cental heating.

ssd · 21/02/2025 17:43

I'd love a nice area to sit outside with a canope

Shinyandnew1 · 21/02/2025 17:43

An extension out the back to give us a big kitchen/dining room.

SantaToSSD · 21/02/2025 17:44

A long driveway to separate us from the busy road.

HalfasleepChrisintheMorning · 21/02/2025 17:46

I think Catio would be the top of the list!
Followed by utility room and conservatory.
i could probably build a conservatory and catio on but am not motivated enough to do so. The benefits don’t outweigh the money and mess.

Bluevelvetsofa · 21/02/2025 17:46

A better work top and built under sink.

WingBingo · 21/02/2025 17:46

Why did we need to know the brand of the heated airer 🤣

To be fair, “The Lakeland Heated Airer” is legendary around these parts.

Why did we need to know the brand of the heated airer 🤣

Because they are the stuff of legend in mn.

Id like a balcony extension.

Longingforspringtime · 21/02/2025 17:48

A third bedroom so I could use it for my hobbies and a utility room.

Why did we need to know the brand of the heated airer 🤣

Because it's bloody massive, so I thought that maybe people could picture it! Grin

A big kitchen with a big farmhouse table in there.

An extra room to use as a home office.

Trolleysaregoodforemployment · 21/02/2025 17:50

An indoor swimming pool
separate his and hers ensuite bathrooms.

An indoor laundry room separate to the utility
Concealed electric shutters on the windows
An outdoor kitchen
A balcony on my bedroom
More storage

JMSA · 21/02/2025 17:50

I'd love my own bedroom , dh is a snorer and he also clears his throat in his sleep and moves around a lot .
He is also a duvet thief .
My own room , own bed & own duvet would be bliss .

Do you know, I was just thinking to myself earlier that if I ever live with another man (highly doubtful). I would need to insist on a space of my own within the home.
