To be very weirded out by Elon Musks reproductive choices

I think he's up to twelve or thirteen children now with no sign of stopping and seems to have a very transactional approach to impregnating a series of women (presumably through IVF). It really speaks to looking at women as baby machines.
The colossal ego he has about maintaining his bloodline is so noxious.
I'm worried someone like him is so influential.
We'll be in the handmaid's tale before long.

I believe they use surrogates as well

does make the whole thing very transactional

MayaPinion · 15/02/2025 13:56

Elon Musk is a very strange man and that’s worrying because he effectively owns Trump and appears to enjoy throwing his weight around with other governments as well. There’s more than a touch of Dr Evil/Blofeld/Lex Luthor about him.

Why are you bothered? Is your own life so dull?

Because one country going crazy will rebound around the globe

Why are you posting if this is your position? Have you nothing more interesting to do?

Cattery · 15/02/2025 14:06

He’s an even more dangerous individual than Trump. Something deeply disturbing about him and the fact that he’s been given so much power in the US

Yet you were bothered enough to comment, is your life that dull you ask inane questions?

I agree. A couple of years ago I read a feminist book by Talulah Riley called “the quickening”. Shocked me she was married to him being a “feminist”.

BooToYouHalloween · 15/02/2025 14:06

Where has the info about IVF and surrogates come from? Surely women wanting to sleep with the richest man in the world and hoping to get pregnant (and thus be set for life ) isn’t that surprising.

soupyspoon · 15/02/2025 14:06

Well he is weird, so his life is weird.

His children unfortunately will probably be just like him

His immense influence over an entire country as an unelected person is something we should all be bothered about. If you’re disinterested in democracy then there’s plenty of other threads to post on.

Because the planet doesn't need that many additional human beings on it.

Don’t think she had his babies though? Didn’t they marry twice?

You must be illeducated to not spot that people like this, with controlling lifestyles and choices, who then become powerful are dangerous to society and humanity. This is how Hitler got in, this is why we ended up with cult leaders that then kill off their followers, this is how we end up with mass destruction by dictators and annihilators.

From Grimes, I think.

HotTake · 15/02/2025 14:10

I heard that one of his children who was conceived via IVF using a surrogate and the egg was used against the mother's wishes or not with her consent, or she'd signed her rights over to him. I don't knowhow true it is but won't surprise me. The man believes he can do whatever he wants. His son, Little Twitter, already admitted to it anyway.

His own parents are awful people. Arrogant, rude father and a mother who believes her son is the second coming. He didn’t stand a chance, really.

Unfortunately, he now has so much influence over the lives of so many. It’s very concerning.

Yes, no babies and married twice - TWICE! At the time I made a comment about rich people being so insanely rich they have no concept of the ordinary world. Blew my mind!

I did enjoy the book though!

And Musk and his first wife talked about how they had their son (who died very young, of SIDS) then used ivf for twins, then triplets.

HotTake · 15/02/2025 14:12

I don't think Elon cares to sleep with women that much, he just wants to produce more white "high IQ" children so he's going about it however he can - artificial insemination, surrogate, I'm sure he's looking for ways to do it in bulk and batches with zero checks and balances. He already has 12 or so with about 3 or 5 different women.

HotTake · 15/02/2025 14:13

Apparently another woman has announced she had Elon's child but who knows...

He's a very sinister figure and I agree we should all be concerned about the extent of his influence. The thing that worries me the most is his relentless striving for power. Money seems to be a secondary consideration. He blew a fortune on twitter but it gives him huge power. Now he has Trump under his thumb and he's trying to get control of AI as well. Anyone not concerned by this is a fool.

somewhereinsuburbia · 15/02/2025 14:15

Fun fact, Tallulah Riley is now married to the grown up version of the boy from Love Actually, the one who was in Wolf Hall and GOT.

Not half as dull as yours by the looks of it.

Scully01 · 15/02/2025 14:20

It freaks me out that almost all his kids are boys, wondering if he chose the sex as well. Grim
