To be very weirded out by Elon Musks reproductive choices

FancyRedRobin · 15/02/2025 13:16

I think he's up to twelve or thirteen children now with no sign of stopping and seems to have a very transactional approach to impregnating a series of women (presumably through IVF). It really speaks to looking at women as baby machines.
The colossal ego he has about maintaining his bloodline is so noxious.
I'm worried someone like him is so influential.
We'll be in the handmaid's tale before long.

I thought this thread was about Mr Musks reproductive choices, not his potential to be a bond villain?

There is nothing anyone can do about him, bar impotent whinging on websites like this.

They're connected though, its about power and control

Are you suggesting that he is so powerful we can not speak out?

CerealPosterHere · 15/02/2025 14:59

I think any woman who signs up for this needs help. I’d be very worried after what he did to Grimes regarding X-ai-12 or whatever his name is that he would do the same to me/my child. Apparently she doesn’t get to see that kid anymore. Maybe that’s not true, I read conflicting stuff that they have 50/50 custody and then other stuff saying she got the two other kids and Elon got X. She certainly didn’t know before hand and wasn’t happy about the Oval Office appearance. She disagrees with all the stage/podium stuff. But can’t stop it.

Imagine trying to co parent with a multi billionaire raging narcissist, she posted something about going bankrupt spending money on lawyers. So not even like she did well out of it financially.

I think we can speak out about it but realistically nothing will change. He’s not doing anything illegal. He’s not going to stop because plebs don’t like it.

But how is the number of children he has related to power or control? Genuine question

Its part of how his narcissism manifests. Men like this impregnate as many women as they can, its a feeling of control and power for them, in his case not limited to that because his behaviour and status also gives him power and control in the US at the moment.

Nonsense. There is no legal basis for his unelected position. There is plenty that the Supreme Court could do, were it so inclined.

There doesn't seem to be any difference between Elon Musk over there and Dominic Cummings, Sue Grey, Alastair Campbell etc etc over here.

I agree, sadly. It was the use of “whinging” that I took exception to - that is a term deliberately used to undermine.

Where has the info about IVF and surrogates come from? Surely women wanting to sleep with the richest man in the world and hoping to get pregnant (and thus be set for life ) isn’t that surprising.

Then they really hhas no idea of who he is.
Because it doesn’t look to me like he parts with his cask easily chikdren or not.
He is currently stopping Grimes to see her dc. She hasn’t seem them fir months and months.
That’s what happens when abusive/authoritarian men also have money. They think they’re untouchable.

The writing has been on the box fir a very long time.

SleekBlackCat · 15/02/2025 15:09

Plenty of men have children with lots of different women.

EM has not abandoned any of his children, is present in their lives (apart from the one who’s been brainwashed against him), and supports them all to a very high standard, unlike a lot of other men.

Plenty of people have children through surrogacy.

He is absolutely correct that the birth rate in Western democracies has massively reduced which is NOT a good thing.

I don’t particularly like EM or have any reason to defend him but considering the above I don’t think this is something he needs to be judged on.

Of course he’s been affected by his childhood and his father being what sounds like an abusive and toxic individual and I believe he is on the ASD spectrum. None of which is his fault and to his credit, he’s done amazingly well despite this.

Of course you can speak out but whingeing about a foreign government you have zero impact on when we have enough problems of our own is totally pointless.

OverTheTopOfTheMountain · 15/02/2025 15:11

@SleekBlackCat you mean like the children he is stoping from seeing their mum??
You think he is looking after them to a high standard?

And does it also apply to the 5yo who was there in his last ‘interview’ who was swearing in TV and told Trump to shut the fuck up? Yep great standard indeed

Actually that's not quite clear due to the constitutionally mandated separation of powers in the US. There is certainly quite a lot of thinking that the made-up position he currently occupies would need to be senate confirmed as opposed to appointed, which is a battle that is being fought out in various courtrooms and will continue to be for quite some time. It's also not clear that the executive has the ability to halt the distribution of congressionally allocated funds.

Do you have inside knowledge of the custody case with Grimes?

I was referring to a high standard of financial support which a lot of children don’t get.

I don’t think that’s what X said now is it? A 4 year old can be expected to say inappropriate things.

God, all these threads are filled with people saying the equivalent of 'Shush dear, leave this to the men.'

sparrowhae · 15/02/2025 15:16

Do you know what is utterly fascinating with this thread and certain others. Some of you are what you hate. Some of the replies are so disturbing and not based in any fact.

Antsinmypantsneedtodance · 15/02/2025 15:16

I believe his latest child was likely concieved traditionally considering the sexual open flirtation between them. Though I wouldn't rule out IVF.

He's been open about wanting to do his part to help the falling birth rate while also ensure he can undertake his responsibilities as a father. Which is good he's acknowledged that. His parenting of his transgender child does leave a lot to be desired though.

He's also mentioned I believe wanting to reproduce with intelligent women.

He's an incredibly intelligent talented man. With that also comes the potential for a lot of power and influence. Which is not always positive. I think you also have to acknowledge the fact he is autistic which explains somewhat, some of his very rigid thought process and actions.

I can't say I can get too upset about his reproductive choices (apart from the use of a surrogate with Grimes). He seems to contribute financially (more than judging from the latest mother) and his children seen recently in the presidents office seem happy and comfortable with him. There are worse fathers in the world.

Why are declining birth rates a bad thing? I think its a good thing

His immense influence over an entire country as an unelected person is something we should all be bothered about. If you’re disinterested in democracy then there’s plenty of other threads to post on.

I totally agree, he’s a very dangerous man, he has far too much money and power for his own good.
The world is not in safe hands and is in a very dangerous place.

daisychain01 · 15/02/2025 15:21

LauraNorda · 15/02/2025 14:00

Why are you bothered? Is your own life so dull?

maybe just think for a nano-second about the implications of a very dangerous unelected weird individual like Musk having an office in the White House and having unfettered access to another madman in Trump, with all the power and influence that his billions brings, in an economy the size of US $30.3Bn.

it reminds me of the similarly strange situation when that unelected weirdo Dominic Cummings became Johnson's strategic adviser, he was equally as dangerous. Thank goodness his eyesight failed in Barnard Castle, hopefully Musk will meet a similar fate.

None of that is about Mr Musks reproductive choices, which is what the thread is about.

There are plenty of threads about what you are droning on about, just like there are far more dangerous unelected people in foreign governments such as Putin and Xi Jingping.
