I am no saying I am for or against, just putting up a different viewpoint for people to consider as this thread seems very judgemental.
He is autistic. Typically people with autism can come across as arkward and transactional as many have mentioned. That doesn't make him necessarily 'bad'.
He didn't want the presidency or vice presidency. He wants to be able to work on his plans, which he clearly believes are the right thing to do (again, rightly or wrongly, but he believes in them). If you had his IQ and wealth, I'm sure you would want to push through what you believe in too. Why not? If I could afford it I'd have loads of kids too, they just bring so much joy!
My sister is autistic. Insanely clever. Socially arkward. Very transactional. She wanted a child but did not like the idea of being out of control of her body, she struggles with change, she runs a company and didn't feel she could hand over the reins and also didn't want to let people down. She looked into surrogacy. Maybe there are reasons too for Elon that we don't know here. Maybe the women at the time couldn't carry a child? My point is we do not know and are jumping to negative conclusions, which may, or may not be correct.
And to imply he doesn't love his kids is a bit far. Having a lot of kids doesn't mean you don't love them. Naturally or through IVF doesn't mean you don't love them. I think that's too judgemental when we are bit that close to his life.
