Yes!

Frowningprovidence · 13/02/2025 08:40

Yes. Also fed up with grey weather.

im also in the south east and it has not been a winter of crisp sunshine with blue skies. The odd day, but mainly grey.

Mirrorxxx · 13/02/2025 08:40

It’s been blue skies for ages in the north west

You must have a lot of time on your hands. Do you work for mumsnet?

You must be in a different North West to me!

Is booking a January holiday an option for you? I’m in Bangkok at the moment and did South America last year - gives me something to look forward to and a huge lift from the shite British weather.
i know i have to return to it (very soon actually) but I’ll have memories and photos and that’ll do me until our spring arrives. As a pp mentioned being in the south east we do get a fair bit of sun too

SlashingRedRibbons · 13/02/2025 08:42

I think k January / February is the UK rainy season . Only a few weeks to go then spring kicks in

Agree. Just switched on my SAD lamp, and taken my vitamin D. I'm in the SE, and we're due some 🌞 tomorrow 🤞

UpUpUpU · 13/02/2025 08:44

I hear you! I am in the midlands and I haven’t seen the sun in weeks! It’s been grey and drizzly and miserable.

I work nights so I need the sun after I finish nights to boost me back into day mode. My last night was yesterday and there was no sun. It’s my day off today and I always try and get outside but today, I’ve done the school run and got back into bed.

the daffs and tulips are all up though so there is hope!

Hi @Sadsister232

What is your “AIBU” question?

Aibu can refer to a statement or question.
OP ignore. I can't bear aibu hangers about who want to make snarky comments.

MoonWoman69 · 13/02/2025 08:46

I'm in Yorkshire and it's been the same for months, with the odd two or three days of sun in between! It's dismal! I take vitamin D every day, but I'm not sure if it makes any difference or not!

wastingtimeonhere · 13/02/2025 08:46

God, yes, I'm out walking every day with the dog, I'm so looking forward to some sunshine 🌞. Everything feels better in bright weather.
It would also shut up my colleague who rants about cloud seeding and how 'they' are doing it, the grey weather, on purpose.

We haven’t this winter though, let’s face it. A few days here and there.

Are you in Kent?

BigDahliaFan · 13/02/2025 08:54

North west, it’s been gray since July 2024 with a very few sunny days. It’s gone on for ever. We’re off to Mexico next week…

Lou205 · 13/02/2025 08:56

Yes horribly grey and miserable. Book a holiday somewhere if you can afford it, it's the only way to get away from the very hit and miss weather (at any time of year) IMO.

user68901 · 13/02/2025 08:58

I'm in the SE. We have had the odd blue sky day which is then always followed by a completely shitty day and then the usual drizzly gloom. 100% fed up.

Myblueclematis · 13/02/2025 09:00

I feel the same, really lowers your mood when you pull the blinds and see nothing but grey, dreary sky.

I live right on the south coast and it definitely seems that for every day you may get sunshine, you then get three or four days at least of grey and if really unlucky, rain as well.

My garden is almost swamp like it is so squelchy underfoot.

LouScot · 13/02/2025 09:01

Yip, east coast of Scotland here, and just about the only time it's not horrible and grey is when it's dark!

To makecup for it we are blessed with the most beautiful light nights when they come, which isn't soon enough!!

Showerflowers · 13/02/2025 09:03

I feel the same op. It's really effecting my mood actually and that's something I've not had before.

MissyB1 · 13/02/2025 09:06

It's horrible and really getting me down, my house feels so dark, I go outside and it's dark grey and so damp 🙁

I will scream if I don't see the sun soon!

Bluevelvetsofa · 13/02/2025 09:06

I’m on the south coast and it’s been unremittingly grey for weeks, apart from the odd few minutes of sun.

We moved in November and I want to see where the sun is in the new garden, so I can decide how to plan it. No chance.
