To ask you to show me your butter dish

Following from the (ver popular!) thread about butter I started s few days ago, I decided I want a butter dish to start keeping part of the butter outside the fridge.
Need inspo, how about a show me a pic of your butter dish thread? 😆

Have already posted one butter dish, but now it's in the dishwasher, here's another one. An eBay purchase by DP, Portmeirion butter dish. I love the little butterfly on top.

Tried that but it doesn’t really work. It’s just that bit too small width and height wise to work in use. Which is a shame.

Or buy a dish that is of suitable dimensions for the job.

Mine fits so the lids must vary slightly. It was a present with the matching dome so I guess I was just lucky.

I bought one a few days ago - lots of charity shops round here and I try to buy local. Nothing doing. Eventually found this one - glass luminarc - in a local junk shop. The woman said butter dishes were what people want now, they go off the shelf as soon as she gets one in. No one wants nice china and all the other stuff she has in the shop. Curious...

I have one too. It's amazing. Adjust the temperature to your desired softness . marvellous!

An ele tric butter dishsounds like an over engineered solution to a problem.

I'm also laughing at all the American websites saying your butter will be inedible if you leave it out for more than 4 hours!

At the risk of sounding really old when I'm not, I want to call electric butter dishes new fangled.

It took me a while to find a butter dish I liked at a reasonable price but managed to find this one in a local farm shop. It’s perfect.

Haven’t read the whole thread so someone else may already have posted as to how much they love this insulated butter dish from Lakeland. It’s truly brilliant - the butter is not rockhard in the winter and holds its shape all summer (unless it’s really really hot - for the uk). I’ve had the same one for 20+ years.
