I've fallen down a bit of a rabbit hole lately reading about Bonnie Blue and her mate Lily Phillips.

Both are Only Fans 'stars'. Who've recently gone all over the internet. One for having sex with 100 men in 24 hours and more recently Bonnie Blue for claiming to have broken the world record by having sex with over 1000 men in 12 hours.

I've seen some of their leaked only fans stuff and it's all pretty tame and dull but also quite gross in my opinion. Lots of group sex with multiple masked men who call them slluts and slap their willies in the womens faces while the women pretend to be having the time of their lives.

Lily Philips imo looks particular distressed in some of the videos. Bonnie looks much more detached from it.

Bonnie is also making the news with some of her stunts and derogatory comments about women. All done for click bait I'm sure.

Anyway, onto my aibu.

Even putting aside the very obvious dangers and health risks. Bonnie Blue is now a millionaire. She could probably retire by 30 and be set for life.

I can't decide whether I think she's extremely savvy and smart to be able to do these things but ultimately scone a very rich woman or whether she's deep down very distressed and damaged and will suffer long term.

Do you think you could do any of the things this woman has done if it guaranteed you'd be a millionaire in a few years?

This is the end point of "Sex Work Is Work". As a species humans always have to take it to the end point - not all humans obvs, but there will always a cohort who will, no matter in what area/arena of life. A man behaving like this would be given no understanding whatsoever, except no man could find 100 or 1000 (don't believe this number 🙄) women who would want to have sex with him one after the other like this and that in itself says a great deal about those men, and it’s worrying that there are that many who are willing to take part in this.

There's something not right about this woman - cold, dead eyes, but I don't for one minute think she's a victim and I don't think there'll ever be a moment of trauma when she wakes up to what she's done with herself. But in the mean time she degrades women as a whole & gives certain types of men even more of an excuse to despise us and see us only as sex objects.

Lots of women could make a lot of money from sex work.... but they choose not to because they respect themselves.

One thing this woman is not is a genius.

All these threads are doing is driving more traffic to their Onlyfans sites.

People who know her full name can easily find the information. They’re not going to search for “pornstar”, but her name. Her real name is in articles alongside the alias so it’s very much linked to her identity. Do you think things on the internet automatically expire after 10 years or something?

So that could be future partners/in laws/employers/children stumbling across her having sex with 1000 men in a day. That isn’t a good look.

There’s documentaries on Netflix and prime about sex work. I don’t think the majority have a happy ending - it tends to be a source of shame and trauma.

The damage to their mental health will be significant. Certainly not worth any money.

As for the men who participate in these stunts, they are so vile.

@Emilyisherenow I think there are deeper issues that both need to address, although they may be shunting these to one side now. Inevitably this will unravel in later years. It’s easy to make this decision if you are young and have no dependents and it’s not affecting anyone else, but what happens if later down the line these women decide to have children, god forbid girls and there is a mass of wide spread easily accessible gross videos of their mother.

Secondly I think the OF culture and glamorisation is hugely damaging to young girls. I have watched a lot of interviews where woman say it’s an act of “feminism”, women making money off “easy to get men”. And there are young girls that really believe this is the case, but sadly this couldn’t be further from true. It is actually ludicrous that society see this as a social norm. I would be devastated if my daughter thought this was an intelligent way to make money and provide a lifestyle for herself.

You may very so make a large amount of money fast from such things but the long terms effects that it would have are truly something I do not see as worth whatever large figure you make.

This whole thing is awful. I feel so sorry for these women, I can't comprehend what they're doing to themselves.

That's one of the things that does sadden me.

Most of us, if we were to ask men we k ew, they'd say it was disgusting.

Yet these women have found men to take part in their stunts. A lot of the men will have wives and girlfriends and they are risking their partners sexual health.

Like I said I have watched some of Bonnie Blues videos. I can be quite detached myself and it doesn't particularly phase me even though I find it gross.

But it's very clear as a woman that the two women aren't enjoying the experience at all. However much they love sex. The Lily woman looks so sad and distressed.

At best Bonnie is acting and not very well.

Yet the men can still maintain an erection and degrade the women, by calling them names, slapping them even if it is all for the camera.

Her income likely comes from the views online and the only fans subscription costs. She doesn’t get paid by the people she has sex with, she gets paid by the views.

All great being a millionaire but for the rest of your life you are knowing that you made all that money by being degraded in the worst way. And you did it to yourself. I imagine shame will be the overriding feeling she'll live with. I'd imagine in the future when she's had alot of time to dwell on it then a shit load of that money will be spent on years of therapy because she will come to the realisation that she stooped so fucking low and was basically raped to get that fame and money.

Yeah, I keep seeing threads about these Only Fans people and whether they've made a really savvy choice or what. To the point where I am now wondering what is the agenda with being so keen to get women discussing this repeatedly. 🤔

I recall watching some footage of Bonnie being interviewed after sleeping with 1000 men. She seemed quite shell shocked and teary at certain parts. One thing she said was after the 10th man she lost count and has forgotten the rest. When we are experiencing trauma our minds detach and block as a coping or survival mechanism. I work with SA victims and many describe shutting down and blocking/detaching from what was happening. She is saying she is fine, happy and in control of all her decisions but I am not convinced anyone can go through what she experienced and be ok. OP - no I don’t think I could personally do what she did, even for lots and lots of money.

Hmmm do you really think she had a well adjusted normal childhood? I mean neither did I or a lot of us but we all cope with things differently. Happy to be told otherwise.
