To not want to sit and watch YouTubers all night?

Been at work all day cooked put the DS to bed who is a pain for bedtime takes me a good 45 minutes to get him to sleep. Finally come downstairs to relax and have a cuppa DH is watching his fav YouTubers one after eachother. Really cringy childish stuff I can’t stand it. Had a huge argument about it and he’s gone upstairs in a huff and kicked the bin over!!

Am I supposed to just go along with what he wants.

I read and consume content in other ways, newspapers, books, twitter, instagram whatever I'm not a luddite, but its weird for a man to consume content on YouTube in such a way

I definitely wouldn't be watching joe rogsn to keep tabs on him though, he gets paid through views and engagement

I love the idea that YouTube isn't worth watching and is "icky", but Twitter is fine.

I don't watch him, though I have no objection to doing so, I just don't like his manner as a podcaster. I do though, keep an eye on the popular news which includes discussion of people of influence in the online media space.

I subscribe to this channel on YouTube as do 1.4 million others, I watch YouTube far more than any other service all on my tv it’s fabulous.

I think you both believe it and are doing it deliberately. You know full well that YT is a lot more than kids shows and Joe Rogan.

It's that time of night and I have been guilty of doubling down on a point because I find people's reactions amusing. Mostly when I'm bored to death.

I stand by what I said - the right man comes home and watches normal streaming services, and reads informational content on his phone!

I'm currently watching two doors down on the iplayer while i relax and it's fabulous!

Youtube has been superior to much of the junk on tv for a long time now

YT is as much a streaming service as Netflix.

Like, there are films and series produced exclusively for YT

Maybe when you grow up you'll learn that. But it's past your bedtime now and it's a school day

I'll never agree and I'm fine with that as I think YouTube is old fashioned

There are other ways to consume new content and information but sitting down to watch YouTube on the tv will never sit right

Real life lore is another excellent channel 7.7 million subscribers, I have learnt so much about the world from this channel on YouTube

What I also like about YouTube content is that it isn’t ‘dumbed down’ or just touches the surface like normal tv channels, they don’t have to cram everything into a 30 minute episode, if you are interested in a subject you can really explore it in depth.
