To not want to sit and watch YouTubers all night?

Been at work all day cooked put the DS to bed who is a pain for bedtime takes me a good 45 minutes to get him to sleep. Finally come downstairs to relax and have a cuppa DH is watching his fav YouTubers one after eachother. Really cringy childish stuff I can’t stand it. Had a huge argument about it and he’s gone upstairs in a huff and kicked the bin over!!

Am I supposed to just go along with what he wants.

I watch loads of stuff on YouTube more like documentaries and informative stuff but if dp wasn't interested I wouldn't get my knickers in a twist I'd just watch it on my phone in a different room!

If I’m watching something I know DH won’t like, I turn it off when he comes in and we choose something with both want. Common courtesy isn’t it?

I've only ever used it for tutorials on make up/days, didn't know they had documentaries 😄

How weird. People watch all sorts on YouTube - I mostly watch podcasts (politics, beauty, parenting) and travel documentaries. My partner (a grown man) watches football podcasts and guitar tutorials. It's basically a really niche version of TV...

I've never thought to consume news/politics on YouTube, except for the sky news feed during a world event

I don't watch/listen to podcasts either tbh - although there is a new fashion show that'll be on YouTube so I might try that

There is literally something about anything on there!!! Cooking, art, how things are made, I could go on forever.
But as pp has said it can be a bit "niche" therefore not necessarily for the main tv.

I remember being a teen and my db watching boys play video games with a headset on, and that formed my opinion of the site I think 😄

I'm currently watching YouTube on the main TV 🙈 I watch documentaries though not actual YouTubers, that would do my nut in

I think he's classed more of a Podcaster but he is obviously on YouTube. Can't get into him myself. I'm not really one for podcasts either tbh.

DH watches them or similar but they are ones about his hobbies but this is on his laptop in the other room with earphones in. He would know better than to inflict them on the main TV

I watch so much YouTube I pay for YouTube premium. We don't have a television and we cast what we want to watch from YouTube, Netflix etc onto a large projector.

If my husband came in and did what you did while I was enjoying what I like to watch on YouTube, I'd feel like kicking a bloody bin as well.

We've been watching it all evening, solo traveller Japan, taskmaster, and cats doing daft things. We have an hour's TV each except I cheated and chose Vera which is 90 mins. We don't have regular TV so watch a bit of YouTube each night

Are they sports YouTubers? I hate this trend for watching other people talk about sport whilst it's happening. Just watch the bloody match.

Unless he's constantly monopolising the TV, I couldn't get worked up about it. Put your headphones on and watch something yourself, or listen to white noise and read a book. No big deal :).

There’s plenty of great content (interesting podcasts like dr Rangan Chatterjee or the Oxford debates ect) on YouTube for adults and if anything I think it’s mostly inappropriate for young kids but hey each to their own
