AIBU to feel completely distressed by the viral video of the aftermath of onlyfans worker Lily P 'sleeping with' 100 men?

I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

I don't know if you've ever got semen in your eye @MumOfOneAllAlone , but it fucking hurts.

I once signed up for an insane amount of overtime which resulted in me working something like four pretty physical twelve hour shifts in three days (I don't jnow that it would be legal now). By the end of it I was practically crawling on my knees with exhaustion, starving hungry and dizzy from sleep deprivation - there was certainly crying afterwards. I was paid (far less than the woman in this thread), I slept for a long time and felt fine in a day or two.

More importantly, however much I loathed it at the time, I chose to do it and made that choice entirely of my own volition. I doubt anybody here would question that for a moment, because as my knickers remained on throughout this was a perfecly OK thing to choose to do.

So in summary: doing something extremely physically and mentally draining (but not sex) for cash = fine

Doing something extremely physically and mentally draining that involves sex for cash = EW NO THAT'S ICKY AND SHE MUST BE MENTAL

OK then.

What are you on about! The two things you've described aren't even remotely the same!

TheSilkWorm · 11/12/2024 13:38

For goodness sake, please leave this idea of sectioning alone, you've badly misunderstood the purpose of the mental health act if you think it is in any way relevant here

Why? She seems deeply unwell! I'm not saying she will be sectioned under the mental health act but I'm saying she needs it for her own protection. Someone behaving with such reckless abandon for their own safety is unwell.

It's just for publicity. There is probably a fetish for this stuff that she's playing into. Because apparently she's going to try 1000 next:

"Despite the emotional strain, Lily revealed plans to attempt a new record: sleeping with 1,000 men in a single day.

Her drive stems from a desire to excel in the adult industry. “I’m wildly competitive,” she told Metro. “When I filmed my 101 guys in 14 hours, it felt like my biggest sexual fantasy come true, and now I want to do bigger and better feats."

I think it's clear she doesn't actually believe this and is just saying it for the purposes of her 'career'

Thanks for the link.

After watching the documentary I am so sad for her.

She actually comes across as very naive and easily manipulated - the men were apparently guilt tripping her for only having 5 minutes for sex which she then felt bad about.

Her ‘friends’ had no concern for her well-being

I think young women have been sold this fantasy that sex work is empowering, but the men always have the power and she is putting herself in a very vulnerable position.

it doesn’t sound like she has a good family behind her and apparently her dad’s friends message her.

So a lot of people taking advantage.

I hope she gets out of this hell. I seriously worry about her and her health.

it’s easy to judge her and her ‘morals’ but she appears to me as a young girl without good guidance or support in a very dangerous situation.

I actually hated the PA or assistant woman who was saying about how much fun she'd had all day, how much she'd been networking and just what jolly japes it had all been. She said the only bit that was 'intense' was checking in on Lily... wtf.

Would being locked up against her will not be traumatic for her too?

It would be for anyone, especially when they're not well enough to see how much of a danger they are to themselves

Yes, she's doing it for money. She knows what her client base want and that includes a bit of emotional distress.

No, she doesn’t. It takes more than that to strip someone of their freedom, as it should.

Not liking or understanding her choices does not mean you are qualified to either diagnose her, or deem her to be in need of sectioning.

The idea of her parents wanting to have a luxury holiday paid for by their daughters work in the sex trade☹️

Yes, I believe there's a word for people like that: PIMP! Shame on them. 😡

I think her choices are clearly not those of a well person. I think she has no-one around her who cares for her, they're just out to make money off of her.

I don't like a lot of people's choices but this is a concern for her safety and future mental wellbeing

Agreed! The whole thing makes me feel sick personally, but why do some people still believe it's ok to lock women up for having different morals?

Thankfully you’re not in the position to decide that. You not believing that someone of sound mind could do what she does, doesn’t actually mean that she’s incapacitated and incapable of deciding for herself.

Yes, a lot of people their ‘concern’ as an argument to strip women of their rights.

SallyWD · 11/12/2024 14:00

Anything dome without her consent is wrong and the men are bustards. However, I don't have sympathy beyond that. She chose to do it. She could very easily have avoided this ordeal, like the rest of us do.

Begsthequestion · 11/12/2024 13:51

Yes I'd actually read about her supposedly going for having sex with 1000 men and this 100 was supposed to be a trial run for the main event.
So it really makes sense that this publicity about her" distress" is actually just part of the build up for the " main event". A bit of advertising.

TheSilkWorm · 11/12/2024 14:06

PinkLionFind · 11/12/2024 13:43

She is physically damaging herself by offering herself up to these men.

This is self harm but not in a way we are used to seeing.

And? This still has nothing to do with the mental health act.

Wordsofprey · 11/12/2024 14:09

I'm sorry but she needs to think harder about her life choices. Why would you think fucking 100 men would be a good idea? Did she take her chances that all 100 would be gentle? Statistically, some of them men would be rapsits, pedos, abusers, violent, with mental illnesses and so on - just by going off general population stats. Cum in her eyes? Well... She is having sex with 100 men. They will treat it like a porno and treat her like a piece of meat. Respectfully, she treated herself like a piece of meat signing up to it and then is upset that exactly what would always happen, happened.

It's distressing yes, but if somebody walks into a situation eyes wide open, yet doesn't consider the blindingly obvious downsides that I'm sure she could figure out or was told countless times, it's her fault and only her fault.

I do think young girls are being encouraged to be much more sexual, expose themselves online for a pittance, to be the least dressed and sexiest out there. It's really horrifying but they clearly don't consider the huge amount of negatives that come with doing these sorts of things.

Hopefully she's learnt a lesson - present yourself as up for anything by anyone at anytime, and people will treat you as such. To expect respectfulness when you aren't respecting yourself is just 🤷

fedup33 · 11/12/2024 14:11

I despair, utterly despair of the human race.

I wonder what would've happened if she'd backed out of this though

Her friends would've become cold and then turned on her? Her management dropping her? Worries about losing money?

I don't think it's a consensual and self empowered as it tries to seem

I watched the whole documentary and at first I did feel quite sorry for her. I think there must be some serious self esteem issues or something going on because she explains that the main reason she gets upset afterwards is because she feels guilty that not all the men got to finish in their allocated time slots.

She also seems quite naive about it all- she had no idea that STDs could be spread orally and said that she doesn’t do any background checks from a criminal standpoint because she doesn’t think anyone would go to all that effort just to harm her.

I really felt at the end of the documentary that she’d realised it was a mistake and that it had effected her a lot more than she had thought, however after watching I saw that she’s announced she’s going to sleep with 1000 men in February so all my sympathy went out the window.

WTFMartin · 11/12/2024 14:14

She is morally reprehensible and let’s face it she’s doing it all for publicity and money.
The men who sleep with her are no better but she can’t make out she’s a victim, she’s not.

Bollocks. You cannot state she is mentally unwell, you have no idea. And even if she is, people don't get sectioned just because they are mentally unwell.

Also OP. You do realise she's already announced since that she will be sleeping with 1000 men? It's a publicity stunt. She's desperate for money. If she wants to play with her mental health, sexual health and reputation then let her do it. Grown women make stupid mistakes and I have little doubt she'll grow to regret this when no decent man will go near her. I mean really? 1000 people? Maybe 10 minutes of fame? On reflection, the girl needs to grow up. It's pathetic to be honest.

I don't think that to protect her from herself is stripping a woman of her rights

I mean, none of us are in a position to decide what happens to her, other than those directly profiting from her exploitation
