AIBU to feel completely distressed by the viral video of the aftermath of onlyfans worker Lily P 'sleeping with' 100 men?

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 09:48

I've tried to word this carefully.

Lily, an onlyfans star, aged 20something I'm guessing, slept with 100 men in one go, as part of a documentary.

Following this, she's on camera crying. She says her eyes hurt as some of the men ejaculated in them, despite her saying no.

My heart is broken for this girl. Im a feminist but I've never thought of sex work as being empowering?

Surely, the empowerment of sex work has failed this poor girl? And surely the 100 men who agreed to do this are criminals???

I'm so angry. You could see in the video that Lily is realising what a mistake this was and is very traumatised.

Anyway, didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd post. My heart goes out to her, and my brain feels very angry at those who failed to protect her.

She is a victim of her own greed.

Dunno OP, after wandering over to TT and seeing her videos, I just cannot muster any sympathy for her. I also lean into not buying her latest act. Her distress (if that is what it is) is entirely of her making.

My sympathy reserves are elsewhere - and most certainly include trafficked girls and women, over money and fame craving idiots who haven't been trafficked and are most certainly going to put extremely vulnerable teens and young women in positions of extreme harm.

Floofboopsnootandbork · 11/12/2024 13:06

Is she not now planning to do it with 1000 or is that a different women? Gosh… how many young girls are doing this now?

None (if there were, it would be publicised). Her and bonnie blue appear to be the only two doing the eye watering line ups.

Content creation IS a growing 'career' choice. Not in pornography though (very few 'celebrities' are doing Onlyfans). Influencing on Instagram and Tiktok is where it's at (estimated 65 million active content creators on Instagram compared to 4 million on Onlyfans). We can safely credit young women with savvy!

ByBusyTiger · 11/12/2024 13:22

Pretty sure she’s planning 1000 next time so I wouldn’t cry too hard

Mrsbloggz · 11/12/2024 13:23

The idea of her parents wanting to have a luxury holiday paid for by their daughters work in the sex trade☹️

NonPlayerCharacter · 11/12/2024 13:23

Startinganew32 · 11/12/2024 12:44

How the hell can you compare a woman who was drugged and violated horrifically and has been incredibly brave in waiving her anonymity and speaking out with this absolute joke of a human being who monetises shagging 100 men and then is miffed that they don’t ejaculate the way she wants to? Seriously it’s infuriating and such an insult. This woman is trash and wouldn’t even thank you for sticking up for her.

Because they both showcase what a lot of men will do if they get the opportunity and think they'll get away with it.

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 11/12/2024 13:23

That poor girl and I am angry too. How dare only fans or any site even allow this? It's vile. I am so sad for her. And for all young women actually, they have it even worse than we did when we were young and that's fucking saying something.

That should make you cry harder.

I imagine being penetrated non stop for 14 hours fucking hurts too. My eyes would be the least of my concern if I were her.
And yeah fucking 100 men in 14 hours is not remotely the same as you working four nursing shifts back to back or whatever. HTH.

Agree here @socksandthecity This isn't comparable - it's far more invasive and personal as well as physically demanding

They don't care about her one bit. At the very least, you'd refuse any money she made from selling herself, even if you can't change her mind

I don't disagree that people who crave money and fame are idiots but on the other hand money and fame are extremely addictive! These are traps which humans are very prone to falling into.
I'm not trying to absolve her of blame more trying to say that it is very complex issue.

soundsys · 11/12/2024 13:27

OnlyinBlackandWhite · 11/12/2024 10:16

I agree with whoever said this is a form of extreme self-harm on her part. I see it as akin to other self-harm which also hurts and is unpleasant but provides some psychological 'need' (or fame).

As for the men, I am disgusted by each and every one of them, I don't believe they thought or cared about her consent, because anyone with a brain can see that's not true enthusiastic consent (as psychologically damaged) and so normal people would not leap on a vulnerable damaged person unless they thought it was ok (such as people who use sex workers in the first place).

I think you've nailed it.

I'd be very, very surprised if the woman didn't have some sort of trauma before the stunt; it's not something that someone who is in good mental health would choose to do...

I wander whether though, that this is a different form of sex trafficking

She's foolishly believing she's in control when she just isn't. Those that are exploiting her are in control.

She's not a perfect victim, few women ever are, but I can't shake that belief that she is one

We don’t know that - she seems to have had quite a normal upbringing. You’re inventing her as a victim in your head who needs saving whereas she’s choosing to do what she does and would happily shag your husband as part of the 1000 men challenge.

LindorDoubleChoc · 11/12/2024 13:34

I feel some sympathy for her as she probably (by no means certainly) has psychological issues behind her extreme behavious.

Overall though I feel angry at her and all other porn workers who are fuelling and feeding off an extremely harmful and perverted industry that simply damages all women all over the world.

Also, I can never admire anyone who is motivated by making a lot of money. It leaves me absolutely cold - whether it be these OnlyFans workers or David Beckham pimping himself out to advertise Ninja kitchen appliances. Why can't people be content with enough money, or even a very nicely generous amount of money, not stupid extreme wealth?

PinkLionFind · 11/12/2024 13:35

Justcallmebebes · 11/12/2024 13:20

This. She, nor her mate who does similar, is not the victim here. Why do you feel sorry for her? She comes from a stable middle class background and had every advantage in life. This is totally her choice, egged on by her family.

She is vile and I will reserve my sympathy for women forced into the sex trade

No women would do this to themselves unless they have suffered some sort of abuse.

And abuse happens everywhere.

Bbq1 · 11/12/2024 13:36

She's a vile specimen who chose to do this so that's her lookout. She's no more decent than the men she is having sex with. She's a disgusting abuser and groomer and she wasn't forced to do this so i have no sympathy. None of this "poor young woman" - she knew exactly what she was doing. Maybe instead of crying about it, she just stops?

EasternStandard · 11/12/2024 13:37

I had no idea about this. It sounds horrendous

Also makes me think of black mirror type set up

TheSilkWorm · 11/12/2024 13:38

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 13:13

But that's true of anyone. If i could I'd have people who love her insist she be sectioned and diagnosed with a plan in place to help her.

For goodness sake, please leave this idea of sectioning alone, you've badly misunderstood the purpose of the mental health act if you think it is in any way relevant here

Theunamedcat · 11/12/2024 13:40

Jerry springer show did it first

The men who engaged in this stunt are not rapists. Please can we be clear eyed about this. They are gross, disrespectful and misogynistic but not at all the same as the rapists who raped Ms Pelicot.

She is physically damaging herself by offering herself up to these men.

This is self harm but not in a way we are used to seeing.

Begsthequestion · 11/12/2024 13:43

It's just for publicity. There is probably a fetish for this stuff that she's playing into. Because apparently she's going to try 1000 next:

"Despite the emotional strain, Lily revealed plans to attempt a new record: sleeping with 1,000 men in a single day.

Her drive stems from a desire to excel in the adult industry. “I’m wildly competitive,” she told Metro. “When I filmed my 101 guys in 14 hours, it felt like my biggest sexual fantasy come true, and now I want to do bigger and better feats."

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 13:45

Startinganew32 · 11/12/2024 13:32

Thankfully I'm not married. I've seen the very worst in men so I doubt I ever will marry tbh

That said, yes, she probably would. Doesn't mean she's any less of a victim

Plus it does seem that her parents might be involved in it and or receiving luxury holidays - that says bad parenting to me

OP posts:
InterIgnis · 11/12/2024 13:45

I think seeing her as a victim for doing this is infantilizing tbh. Adults of sound mind - and not liking and/of understanding her actions does not mean she’s incapacitated and not of sound make - are free to make bad decisions (if indeed she does, or will ever, see this as a bad decision).

”How could she possibly want to do this? She must be insane, and needs protecting from herself” is a reasoning that has been and can be used as a weapon against women making any choice society doesn’t like, imo buying into that notion is far more harmful than what Lily has done.
