Having stumbled upon the above topic via dear Google…. I wonder if any wise and informed persons have an answer?

I may be shot for being a boy, in a girls’ place…. Please make it quick 🙏🏻

I know some lefties who met and married from Bumble

canyouletthedogoutplease · 25/11/2024 09:48

What was the outcome of the thread six months ago that asked the same question?

That.

Or did you just want a load of women to know you were a single man? Surely not... you crafty devil you.

Mnetcurious · 25/11/2024 09:53

I’m assuming from username you’re 45 years old. Why are you referring to people as boys and girls rather than men and women? That’s going to be massively off putting for a start. Also what’s your aibu?

Snowfish79 · 25/11/2024 09:54

Ok, I get the message…..

I had not intended my original post to be offensive or negative or any of the things people have suggested. I was just asking what I thought was a simple question, and trying to be lighthearted about it.

As I mentioned, a female asked the same thing about six months ago - under the same category (I didn’t know which category to use) and a healthy discussion followed. Not one negative or critical or questioning comment.

Thanks to the people who posted helpfully 🙏🏻

You really need to stop saying “a female”.

I’m sorry. What should I say?

Girls

Be Kind

It's like bingo here!

HOUSE!

A woman. Or in one of your posts “a female member” would have been appropriate.

LizzieBowesLyon · 25/11/2024 10:03

Ugh. Horrid.

So don’t. Find another space that welcomes predatory males. It isn’t here.

Why have you, a man, chosen to come into a woman-centric forum to ask this question?

Are you parodying a man?

Who are you speaking for?

The post I've just read was one bloke asking clumsily for a dating site, and then a few women jumping on him for daring to even venture on their patch

OP, I wish I could answer your query, but I have no idea. Why the fuck people can't just be nice, I don't know. There's enough conflict going on in the world at the moment without folk getting arsey over a simple question. It's almost as if the scroll Hutton doesn't work for them 🙄

Thanks for your helpful response.

It’s useful to know that mumsnet has a lot of women who think it’s fine to be critical, judgemental and offensive to someone they know nothing about, and have had bad experiences with ‘predatory males’. Be a woman and ask the exact same thing - all fine.

Lesson learnt 👍🏻

You're aware how big this forum is, aren't you? And how googling can bring it up in search results pretty high up, due to the size. And the fact the op was jumped on for even asking if he was OK to post here, and then you have an issue with him posting here, proving the 'can't win' scenario perfectly....

Funny thing is, he could have not revealed his gender and no one would have known any different.

And no it doesn't. Please don't generalise, we aren't all of the same opinion that you have experienced so far

unclebuck · 25/11/2024 10:22

The thumbs up have jumped the shark, shame, I was about to to nominate this for classics 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

EmpressaurusKitty · 25/11/2024 10:22

Is this the next step on from the blokes who post in Relationships about never having had a partner?

Hoppinggreen · 25/11/2024 10:25

Interesting how fast the mask drops isn't it?

Thanks - I’ve just seen your posts. I should have been more specific in not making a blanket statement - I’d thought it sufficient to say ‘has a lot’.

I remain utterly astonished by the majority of the responses here. Thanks again for your comments though, reeling continuously due to Gaza, Ukraine, the American election…. Wondering where human kindness, understanding and empathy have gone. It seems there is almost exclusively polarisation and defensiveness

MinistryofThyme · 25/11/2024 10:28

Nasty females not falling over themselves to help you, OP! Honestly. Don’t they know their place? You’ve already told them that you are A Man and they just don’t seem to be showing the requisite level of awe and respect, do they? For shame.
