I want you to come with me too! My dad’s gone into the butchers from 3am-8am this morning so he can get stuff sorted and then come and help me move in bless him . My mum wants to take me to b&m to get all my cleaning bits and some homeware stuff , I havnt been shopping in months and I havnt been home shopping in years! Xx

Ah that really is brilliant. Proper physical and practical help will be so useful today. The supermarkets are great for home stuff too and it's handy to be able to throw everything in the trolley and not have to visit different stores. Stop yourself buying lots of tat until you know exactly where you are going to put it. It's hard not to in those places. I'm dying for a good rummage round a homeware section now! @Giraffe888 not at all green with envy that you have a holiday booked for the most boring day of the week(Tuesdays are grim) 😅

It is isn’t it @nornironlady and they are going to take me food shopping tomorrow once my fridge/freezer has been delivered. My dad’s going to build my bed today too. I won’t be buying lots of tat as I’m on a budget I’ll just get what I need and if I see something I really really like 😂. My mums taking me to get some hard back slippers Aswell as she’s worried about me falling down the stairs . So shopping day and new house day how exciting is that?xx

Ah I am so glad your parents are really stepping up for you. I'm guessing that support means the world to you and makes things a little bit easier. Yes I agree on getting the essentials only at this point and you don't need loads to get going when it's just you right now. It takes a lifetime to build a home so no need to rush. Enjoy it. While we want everything done at once I think you need to live in a space to see how you are going to use it and what you need. It took me about 3 years after having the electrics done to get proper lights as I didn't know what I wanted or needed! I think my sons room only got a lampshade this year and that work was done about 7 years ago 😂

So am I @nornironlady , I think they have realised how much I need them and how badly ex treated me. But it’s a fresh start today so I’m holding no grudges , clean slate. But it does mean the world to me that they are going to be there.
Its definitely going to take a while to get it how I want it but I’m looking forward to getting stuff gradually and what these past 2 months have taught me is to never take anything for granted so I’m going to appreciate every little thing.

Good morning @TealPoet , how are you this morning?Its me that needs to thank all of you, when I wrote my first post I never in a million years thought I’d get so much support and friends!
You’re definitely right about how things can change. When I was at rock bottom everybody was telling me especially my health team that the only way is up now because you’ve reached rock bottom and I used to think it would never get better and I’d feel like that forever, I was wrong .
18/11/2024 is when my life starts xx
