Little Teddy needed 100 stitches in his face but was lucky to escape with his life.

Is it unreasonable now to ask the Government to give a warning in the media, that children are to be kept away from these dogs? Not to enter a house or garden where they're known to be? Even if told that the dog is safe, which they are not.
This little chap was visiting a home with his family when it struck.

No one, unless armed with a gun, could fend those off if they decided to maul. I HATE that we allow these beasts among us.

Vile. We don't allow tigers and lions to roam our streets - these types of dogs should be banned immediately. I fear for my kids growing up in society with these awful animals around us.

Even with a gun . . . well we read the reports where armed police (ie trained marksmen) had to fire 12 rounds to kill one of these. Good luck taking out 2 animals that powerful & fast, one of them would kill you while you were getting the other in your sights.
Look at the way those things were running, they were loving it, charged up and ready for the kill.
FUCKING HELL, why are we tolerating these dogs and their subhuman owners.

It honestly scares the hell out of me to think me and/or my son could be out and about minding our own business and get attacked by one of these monsters!! It’s so fucking unfair just so these idiot owners can have an intimidating dog!

I feel like this. There’s a man walking a threatening looking dog (no idea of exact breed) off leash every morning and I’ve told ds not to leave for school if he’s around.

I reported an unmuzzled XL being walked by a nasty piece of work in our town centre today. The 101 call handler was really nice, I was worried they'd be a bit sniffy as there hadn't been an attack.
Got photos too and messaged the dog warden. I know there's another XL that hangs about by the pubs, I'll try and report that owner next.

Can I ask if they asked for your details? I'm worried about possible reprisals from the dog owners.

101 did ask for my details. I'm sure they would take it anonymously though. I think it would take a lot for the police to need us as witnesses. If they catch an XL on the street unmuzzled that's probably the only evidence they need. I sneakily took a photo when I was pretending to talk on the phone, I just made sure my flash was off.
