Went on a third date with a man, and for relevance we have not had sex yet.

The conversation kind of shifted to exs (it was relevant) and he said he broke up with his ex as it became apparent she only wanted two things:

To live with him rent free
To have an incredible dicking every day (which he followed up with yeah I know that sounds big headed)

I just kind of said “oh right” and changed the subject. Maybe he is fantastic in bed, maybe not, but it definitely gave me the absolute ick.

I take it he said those exact words?

Yes I would run a mile

tgatwas · 07/11/2024 19:58

I think it was that she only used him for incredible sex…

well she couldn't have used him for his incredible personality

MrsForgetalot · 07/11/2024 20:45

1 strike for bringing up ex girl friend at all
2 strikes for discussing anything that happened with ex girlfriend in the bedroom - clearly no gentleman, not discreet.
3 strikes for juvenile locker room language - use real words if you absolutely must talk about it
4 strikes for bringing up sex over dinner - poor seduction technique.
5 strikes for failing to anticipate how badly those comments reflect on him. Low intelligence isn’t attractive.

Maybe his dicking wasnt incredible like she wanted it? Maybe it was just flaccid dicking?

He dumped her. His dicking was fantastic but she was only with him for his dicking. He has feelings man. Feelings.

Mrsphilmiller · 07/11/2024 19:33

What does that even mean “incredible dicking”?

One of my exes used to say ‘a good piping’…

I think that was what he was trying to convince the OP he was (in the hope she'd want to see it).

Wide boy - Scaffold pole - pencil (haunted or otherwise).

Teenagequeenwithaloadedgun · 07/11/2024 20:46

If anyone said 'incredible dicking' within my earshot, my knickers would hermetically seal themselves to my body with zero chance of removal.

MancMa · 07/11/2024 20:46

Creased laughing at both that expression and the comments on here. I would never be able to look him in the eye again.

Mrssmith3 · 07/11/2024 20:46

Maybe he thought you would be tempted. If it was that incredible he wouldn’t be single would he.

Zone2NorthLondon · 07/11/2024 20:48

You saying absolute ick is as bad as him saying incredible dicking. Both dreadful

Josie901 · 07/11/2024 20:50

I'm not that surprised he thinks a) having enough money to support his ex b) being good in bed are flexes. He clearly just wanted you to know this early on.

I wouldn't be interested in him giving me an incredible dicking though so I wouldn't see him again.

BettyBardMacDonald · 07/11/2024 20:50

tgatwas · 07/11/2024 19:57

Yes!

Gross.

I like my men to be more couth and respectful than that, sorry. Who the fuck says things like that on third meeting?

Bin, bin, bin. And tell him why if he asks.

(Also, I don't know why people are so hot to discuss prior relationships. I never have, and never will. It's irrelevant.)

autienotnaughty · 07/11/2024 20:51

Wow rent free and an incredible dicking?? How is this man still single 🤔

coxesorangepippin · 07/11/2024 20:53

Is he public school??

It has echos of the infamous 'darling you smell like botty' comment from days of yore on here

Youvebeenframed · 07/11/2024 20:55

Sounds like a keeper
When do you move in OP 🏡🍆

padsi1975 · 07/11/2024 20:55

twirls

Thanks for the NC inspo, OP!

Guavafish1 · 07/11/2024 20:56

Hmm sounds very bitter

DamselinDistress24 · 07/11/2024 20:59

I think she deserved the free rent if she had to shag that every day (or at all).

Autumnalsun · 07/11/2024 21:00

The words aren’t the best lol but maybe he was trying to say it in a light hearted way.

I think unless you’ve broken up with your ex on very good terms, then it’s always an awkward conversation to have whilst getting to know someone new.

If your ex cheated on you, you would probably say it in quite a light hearted way to show a new date that you’re not messed up from it.

I met a man who was still obviously hurt over his ex cheating on him and although I understood, I felt it was a red flag and didn’t continue it.
If he said it in a more light hearted way, then I would have carried on seeing him.

It basically sounds like she used him.
Or he felt used.

I wouldn’t cross him off my list for that one comment if he seems otherwise ok, but it would make me less keen to see him.

Perhaps give him one more chance and see how it goes.

PlopSofa · 07/11/2024 21:00

It would be interesting to hear the other side of the story....

She probably paid for everything and he has a limp dick

Sounds about right.

She dumped him as he paid for nothing and his willy was a tadpole!

BangaloreLulu · 07/11/2024 21:03

Is he called Boris Johnson? That's just the kind of shit talk I could imagine coming out of that buffoon's mouth.

INeedAnotherName · 07/11/2024 21:04

Why do you need to have a conversation about it (especially the sex part) though? Just a general we didn't want the same things is enough.
