Colleagues having sex in the office out of hours

Reidal · 07/11/2024 17:50

2 of my colleagues have been dating for a few months, I’d say they are friends of mine and we get on well.
Yesterday after work a lot of us went to the pub, the CEO was covering the tab so everyone was a bit tipsy.
Today the guy mentioned to someone else (who is dating my closest friend). That when they went back to the office to pick up their stuff before leaving they got carried away and had sex.

AIBU to think this is massively inappropriate and to report it?

The ceo had sex with your friend?

Americano75 · 07/11/2024 17:52

Why?

No my two colleagues who are dating.

It’s none of your business!! Stay out of it

LaLaLaurie · 07/11/2024 17:53

I think news will travel fast if they are telling people. You’re likely not need to say anything as it will soon spread around the office.

Jiook · 07/11/2024 17:53

I think it would be a horrible vindictive thing to do. Different if they were caught in the act.

Saz12 · 07/11/2024 17:54

It's a bit grim to be shagging at your workplace. Then telling colleagues about it.

I'd not report it though, as it doesn't impact anyone else and they'd probably be fired for it.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 07/11/2024 17:54

YABU. Why would you feel the need to report that? What would it achieve?

Allfur · 07/11/2024 17:55

Its probably more common than you realise, I'd leave them to it

StillAtTheRestaurant · 07/11/2024 17:55

Yes it's inappropriate but don't report it.

ALunchbox · 07/11/2024 17:55

Out of hours so presumably noone around? It wouldn't bother me.

Bex5490 · 07/11/2024 17:55

Kind of hot 🤷🏽‍♀️

Don’t be jealous now!

Where was the last exciting place you had sex @Reidal … and the guest bedroom doesn’t count 😂😂😂

DaniMontyRae · 07/11/2024 17:56

You should tell your friend so she knows her boyfriend is gossiping about their sex life with other colleagues.

LauraNorda · 07/11/2024 17:56

You sound bitter and twisted. I wouldn't ever want to be your 'friend'.

Whothefuckdoesthat · 07/11/2024 17:57

You want to report two of your work friends because they got drunk at a work function and got carried away in the office? Well that’s one way to mark your cards I suppose. Unless it’s illegal or life threatening, mind your own bloody business.

VictoriaAlbert · 07/11/2024 17:57

Absolutely not.

AgnesX · 07/11/2024 17:57

What's it got to do with you, not that you have actual proof anyway

Just keep out of what doesn't concern you.

miniaturepixieonacid · 07/11/2024 17:58

I've never worked in an office and maybe I've watched too many rom coms but l thought shagging in the office was a rite of passage! Assuming no abuse, infidelity or coercion, I'd laugh and say good on them.

ClaudiaWankleman · 07/11/2024 17:58

It happened at a previous workplace of mine - I think the punishment was the fact that it was gossiped about for the whole 3 years they remained at the company. It would be mentioned to new joiners by colleagues who weren’t even there at the time. Absolutely bizarre behaviour from all parties involved.

Cooriedoon · 07/11/2024 17:59

Well he sounds like a teenager blabbing about it so yes I'd tell someone, your friend.

Zanatdy · 07/11/2024 17:59

It’s massively inappropriate but I doubt i’d report it. Our office is way too straight laced for that anyway but unless it was a regular thing i’d just ignore

NeedABabelFish · 07/11/2024 17:59

This^

It's none of your business, leave them to it Grin

NotbloodyGivingupYet · 07/11/2024 17:59

You want to report gossip?

Zone2NorthLondon · 07/11/2024 17:59

No don’t report it. Why would you?
investigation, potential suspension, and statements. Denials, acrimony

DoYouReally · 07/11/2024 18:00

If you reported it to me, I would just tell you it's hearsay and gossip.

No proof, nothing anyone can do about it.

Not something I would do and wouldn't be overly impressed with anyone who does but all you have here is gossip.
