Where is Kamala?

Just saw this post on X, and I tend to agree...

"Kamala lost as she campaigned - a coward who couldn't face the media, couldn't handle the pressure. Didn't even have the character required to concede on election night. Went home to sulk. The opposite of presidential material."

Really and truly was there nobody with any substance the Democrats could have put forward. What on earth did they expect. The bar was so low.

I'm guessing she's knackered and very angry. Maybe needed some sleep a good cry and time to gather her thoughts.
She is only human.

Sounds like decent qualities for a president.

Anjo2011 · 06/11/2024 19:27

Perhaps she’s waiting for Taylor, J Lo and Oprah to speak on her behalf.

freddyfluffball · 06/11/2024 19:27

Presumably she cares about her country and is devastated, I don't blame her at all for disappearing. Is Trump had lost he would have started a coup d'etat.

Smallsalt · 06/11/2024 19:29

Annabella92 · 06/11/2024 18:31

Oh she's going to be making a speech soon...

About time. The silence has been deafening

Preferable to orange boy and his tantrums when he lost whilst inciting thugs to violence don't you think? Or is that your preference?

ThirtyfourBees · 06/11/2024 19:29

Anjo2011 · 06/11/2024 19:27

And Eminem.

Willyoujustbequiet · 06/11/2024 19:30

At least there hasn't been a riot that resulted in deaths.

Shows a difference class of voter.

iamtheblcksheep · 06/11/2024 19:30

Maybe she doesn’t work after 5pm like the absolute dick we have in charge here. Good job it’s not a Friday. We wouldn’t be seeing her until Monday.

VimtoVimto · 06/11/2024 19:30

I’ve just looked and Trump finally conceded after Jan 6th riots.

DreamTheMoors · 06/11/2024 19:30

Maybe she’s gathering up her angry far right wing supporters & proud boys to stage an insurrection.
Maybe they’ll storm the Capital any minute. Or maybe they’ll wait until Congress is in session.
Oh wait. Kamala isn’t Donald. What was I thinking?
Kamala doesn’t do Donald things.
Only Donald does insurrections and hate speech.
Some folks respond to that.
Decent people don’t.

Twistybranch · 06/11/2024 19:30

She called to concede and should speak to her supporters at howard uni soon.

She should have spoke last night but chose not to. Bad decision. But I’m guessing she was waiting to see if she would win the popular vote at least. Now that’s unlikely, so she’s finally throwing in the towel.

But hoping she can make a gracious exit and maybe start the conversation about how the dems need to do better.

Barney16 · 06/11/2024 19:31

What she isn't doing is shouting about a fixed election, getting democrats to storm the Capitol and thinking it's perfectly reasonable for her vice president to be lynched by a mob. Neither, as far as I am aware, is she ringing election officials and asking them to "find a few votes" or stashing official documents marked secret into boxes to store in her bathroom. She probably is having a lie down in a darkened room trying to come to terms with the fact that the world is a much more dangerous place than it was yesterday.

They usually call to congratulate the winner, wonder if she has managed to do this

She has.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 06/11/2024 19:32

She must feeling dreadful. Imagine knowing that your own failure would have such disastrous consequences for your country and for the world. Must be very difficult to face people knowing that you were their only hope.

x2boys · 06/11/2024 18:35

Well at leat she's not trying to suggest the election was rigged and starting riots....

To be fair this was so decisive there's no chance.

Trust me both sides have a ton of expensive lawyers on call with the sole aim of trying to find loopholes in the event they lose. This loss was so bad I don't even think she can try.

Her results was worse than Biden and even though she won states like Illinois and NY she won with fewer votes than previous democratic candidates in solid blue states.

Anyway she has called him to concede.

Summernightsinthe21stcentury · 06/11/2024 19:34

She called a while ago to congratulate and talk about a peaceful transition, something Trump wouldn't know about.

Blueeyedmale · 06/11/2024 19:36

The abuse she's getting off some of the Ultra MAGA crowd is disgusting I wonder if it would be any different had trump defeated a male candidate.

It's quite sad because without women they would not be here to even cast their vote,no life and no democracy is possible without women.they might not like her but at least they can do is show her some respect.

Pinkissmart · 06/11/2024 19:36

Maybe she, like the rest of the world is absolutely appalled and speechless

How on earth could she have done the speech last night? The result wasn’t in until until around 5:30AM eastern time.

ColaCar · 06/11/2024 19:36

It’s because she’s pathetic. Never stood a chance. Shes probably laughing into thin air somewhere

I'm sorry, but however devastated, that is no way to behave

Heads of State have many devasting events to deal with - they have to get on with it

They don't have to wait till every result is in. They can concede as soon as it's a done deal

Luddite26 · 06/11/2024 19:38

Funny it was old Trumpy who, after one debate where she wiped the floor with him, refused to engage in any more debates..
Well done Trump the yanks would prefer a sexual predator in the whitehouse rather than an intelligent woman. Says a lot..

They knew what way the wind was blowing just after midnight. So that’s what I meant by last night/early this morning.

Stop being pedantic

Lots of the people who voted for her are likely devastated, it's a shame she couldn't offer any words.

Other comparisons are available!

Just about every losing candidate has made a speech much earlier on. So of course it's noticeable when someone departs from the norm.
