Where is Kamala?

Just saw this post on X, and I tend to agree...

"Kamala lost as she campaigned - a coward who couldn't face the media, couldn't handle the pressure. Didn't even have the character required to concede on election night. Went home to sulk. The opposite of presidential material."

Really and truly was there nobody with any substance the Democrats could have put forward. What on earth did they expect. The bar was so low.

Has she just been offered a job by Trump? She looks thrilled

Like someone upthread said. She’d probably call on J-LO and Beyoncé to sing to the dictator and she herself would chant hope not hate at him.

The word pathetic sums her up well.

She's a political giant in comparision to Trump!!

Agreed.
Enjoying Patrick Christy's show

MichaelandKirk · 06/11/2024 21:27

She looks delighted she has lost…

LadyGabriella · 06/11/2024 21:28

Why was she telling people to fight?

SpidersAreShitheads · 06/11/2024 21:28

I appreciate good manners and etiquette, and I think not acknowledging the crowd that had stayed out until the early hours for her last night was rude.

Of course Trump handled it worse, but then he's an utter pig of a man who threw a giant man-baby tantrum. That's not the standard that anyone should aspire to.

A good leader needs to be gracious in defeat, even when it's difficult. And that means she should have showed her face last night, even just briefly.

I don't really have anything positive to say about the Tories as I'm very much a left-leaning voter. But I have to say I was impressed with how Rishi Sunak handled the crushing defeat and how gracious the transfer of power was.

I have no concerns at all about how graciously the Dems will hand over power - even though the man who's arriving isn't fit to hold office. But they will do it anyway because that's how democracy works and it's the right thing to do.

I can't imagine how frustrated Kamala feels right now. But she's let herself down a bit I think, by just abandoning the people who were out waiting for her last night, and dragging her heels today.

She walked on grinning like a Cheshire cat and now looks like she’s about to cry.

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 06/11/2024 21:31

The smiling and giggling isn't going down so well with me. I think she should have made more of an effort to look statesmanlike and sombre, whilst sincerely thanking her supporters.

Rightly or wrongly her manner puts my teeth on edge and I think this is part of her unlikeability factor.

Sandygoldenbeaches · 06/11/2024 21:32

I think she is speaking very eloquently and intelligently.

Littlemissgobby · 06/11/2024 21:32

Omg she sounds great she's absolutely spot on a shame what america could have had not a nasty narcissist

LadyGabriella · 06/11/2024 21:32

Anjo2011 · 06/11/2024 21:32

She’s not interesting to listen to, she doesn’t command an audience.

Thing is I think she is a bit preachy and the speech is a little bit ‘were right and everyone else was wrong’ which is probably one of the reasons why they lost.

Sandygoldenbeaches · 06/11/2024 21:36

She's so intelligent and such a good speaker.

What we could have had!
