That is incredible news Laura, I am so happy. Trying not to get my hopes up too much but Here’s hoping it all works out for you and you get your new home. You may even be in for Christmas. Get the spoons ready girls 🥄 😁

Oh I love that , thank you @AdmittowearingCrocs , that’s brought tears to my eyes. It honestly feels amazing that somebody is happy because of me! I may have a home for Christmas 🙏xx

I'm sure being number 1 in the bidding is due to a number of factors.....
At the end of the day it's about time your luck changed!!
I've got everything crossed for you lovely xx

Ooh, I missed this message while I was posting - that’s amazing! Sending all the positive housey vibes ❤️, it sounds so lovely.

Thank you @RaspberryBeretxx .
My support worker said being at number 1 is very good and if I don’t get this one I’m getting very close. It’s a beautiful house and area near local amenities xx

Thank you for keeping everything crossed for me , that means so much .
A month ago I was in absolute despair and during that month I've had some very terrible times but a month ago i didn’t have what I have now , hope and all of you xx

Hi @RaspberryBeretxx
How are you?
Yes it is good they have noticed it , I was quite embarrassed that I hadn’t noticed and when I looked I thought ‘oh dear’. As bad as this sounds my cancer has taken a-bit of a back seat at the moment with everything else going on but it has made me realise I need to be more aware of what’s happening to my body and it’s given me a jump scare. In a way I’m glad the appointments were the other way round now because I was a bit disappointed I wasn’t seeing neurology as I wanted to try and get this paralysis looked at but it turned out for the best in the end. I think my oncologist was looking at me thinking why I didn’t seem too fussed but I was a bit numb tbh , it hit me when I left the seriousness of it .
My daughter fetched me some cup a soup yesterday and some ready salted crisps but I’ve not been eating very much last few days I’ve really lost my appetite.
You’re so right , urine infections are horrendous, I really feel for @Apolloneuro . I’m not sure what’s worse having a urine infection or piles! xx

Ah, it’s no wonder your cancer has had to take bit of a back seat - you can’t be fighting all the fires at once.

glad you have some soup and crisps at least it’s something. Hope you can get your Tesco trip in soon.

Im good thank you. It was my day off today so a friend came round for coffee but she was early so I hadn’t done the last minute panic tidy and was still eating lunch 🤦🏻‍♀️😂. Just going to jump into the bath then bed I think 😴. Hope you manage a better night of sleep tonight and praying you get a final big yes on the house asap!

Apolloneuro · 04/11/2024 21:46

I think when you get a house, Laura, you should call it The Ritz and have a little sign made.

I’m glad you’re good @RaspberryBeretxx, I’m just watching that new drama on the tv. Do you not work Mondays? When I worked at the bank I used to do mon-wed 10-6 so I could drop the children off at school before I set off. I miss those days.
Your day sounds lovely and I hope you had a nice time. Can’t beat a lovely bath, have you tried badedas bubble bath? It’s got horse chestnut extract in it and it’s very soothing. My midwife recommended it to me when I had stitches and I love it xx

I agree with @RaspberryBeretxx , you can’t possibly give all your different stresses equal attention at this point - whether the doctors understand or not, you have nothing to be embarrassed about! If they only knew what your month has been like - I doubt they could cope with it all!

I truly hope you get this house if it’s the right one for you, and I rather like the idea of calling it ‘The Ritz’. But I think you can have a really personal name for it that will express your bright personality :)

Hello lovely people!!

Laura that is stunning news about the house!! All fingers and toes crossed here for you!! I'm sorry the oncology appointment had some worrying news, but hopefully it will be OK. No wonder you'd not noticed it though - you had more urgent things on your mind!! HUGS!!

Also HUGS to @Apolloneuro and @Ruralretreating. I hope you are both doing OK.

All OK here, and even bagels (toasted, with honey - yum!) I ordered some Shay and Blue samples at the weekend - I will keep you all posted once they arrive and I've tried them!

Thank you @TealPoet and I know I have thanked you already but thank you for what you did for me last week. I will never forget your kindness and I hope one day I can do something similar for somebody in their time of need . A lot of people moan that the world is a bad place but they obviously haven’t met any of you on here . Each and every one of you make this world a much better place and I’m so very glad to have found you all xx

Oh yes my mum got me some badedas but I’ve mostly wasted it on the 3 yo! I didn’t know it was soothing though. I love the smell. I’ve been avoiding bubble bath due to thrush but actually I think it’s a time of the month thing and bubble bath at other times might be fine.

mon-wed 10-6 sound really nice hours, get the week over with quick! I do Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday which isn’t too bad as I’m eased into the week gently 😁.

what drama are you watching and is it any good?

It’s a lovely smell isn’t it, I also use the shower gel sometimes. Did you know that surgeons used to prescribe it to their patients because it has such good healing properties?
They was good hours and I actually used to enjoy the 45 min drive there too with my music on. I can’t believe I used to drive in heels. I can’t even walk in them now! I walk like a duck with feet!
I was watching that new drama ‘Until I kill you’ it’s a true story and it’s really good xx

I should find out wed/Thursday this week. It will be another one of those weeks where I’m waiting for the phone to ring. I’m trying not to get my hopes up but I’m currently laid on bed thinking about it. It’s a good distraction if anything else. I hope you have a lovely sleep too. Big hugs xx

Sending up a prayer for you to get it and we will all be on tenterhooks waiting to hear as I am sure you will be. Being so close to Tesco and other amenities would be perfect for you. 🏠

Thank you so so much. I’m praying with my spoon too. I can’t wait to give it a home. I’m actually looking forward to doing housework when I get a home , never thought I’d be saying that. It’s got a lovely walking trail too hopefully when my leg gets better. It’s perfect and a lovely big garden for my youngest to play football in but I’m getting ahead of myself. Just keeping everything crossed and having lots of hope xx
