The spoon baubles are amazing! I think it sounds so lovely to do a different colour scheme. Maybe we can all send you a bauble and it’ll be a MN powered Christmas tree!

Morning Laura, I hope your hospital visit goes well and you get positive news from neurologist. I love Pink, I listened to Turbulence over and over when I first heard it.

That’s so lovely that your daughter came to see you. And I love the idea of a new collection of baubles to mark your new beginning.

I need to stop festering and go do some exercise now. Struggling with motivation but am going to try!

Hope your appointment goes well for you, then you can look forward to a Tesco shop! If it's a big superstore, it might have Christmas baubles to start off your new collection. It's really hard to let things go - my house is testament to piles of stuff I cannot get rid of - but there is something very cathartic about putting the old behind you, and starting out fresh. It seems you love songs and some mean a lot to you - how about listening to 'I Can See Clearly Now' for a little uplift? It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day! I hope, whatever the actual weather, it's a bright sunshiny day for you today.

The surgery left a voicemail saying my urine infection is resistant to the antibiotic I’ve been given. Waiting for the GP to call me. Don’t feel too bad, thanks. Hope your hospital appointment goes well xx

Hi gang, sorry I have taken a while to respond it’s been a hectic day!
So firstly I got my appointments mixed up (I don’t know how) but I was in the ambulance transport and the driver was asking me for my name , dob etc and then said ‘just to confirm your going to Weston Park hospital’ so I explained that no it’s Royal Hallamshire today so he said he said me down for Weston Park. I said no but I’ll go to my appointments on my phone and double check. Well! Today my appointment WAS at Weston park and next week (12th) my appointment is with neurology. I’m such an idiot at times! So anyway I was seeing my oncologist today. It went ok (ish), my oncologist noticed that my tremors in my right hand and arm looked worse and asked me when it had changed since they had last seen me a month ago and tbh I couldn’t recall when it had as I’ve had so much going on this way month. But they said that neurology will investigate more next week. Also they noticed a change in my left leg where the cancer started since last time I saw them a month ago and said they will call dermatology to get an earlier appointment than end of this month . He asked me to make sure I prioritise this appointment above all else. So now I’m worried. Had to wait a while for ambulance transport and it did a few drops offs before me so got back just after 3pm and couldn’t keep my eyes open so flopped into bed . My mental health team called due to my being there most of that day and they are going to arrange to come another day through the week. Thank you all for wishing me well xx

Sorry to be late to the party OP. With regard to you baubles, just remember that you bought them in a time of unhappiness and toxicity. You don't want any of that in your new home. Just fill your new home with things and people that you ❤️

Hi Laura, sorry to hear your appointment wasn’t as positive as you hoped. You have had so much going on, it’s no wonder you haven’t noticed changes. Let’s hope your new appointment comes through quickly.
So sad you didn’t get to go to Tesco today too as you were so looking forward to getting some healthy food and other bits.
Hopefully your MH team will be able to visit soon to take you. Sending big hugs 🤗

You’re very right about the baubles , I was quite upset about it yesterday but I’m actually over it now . I need to pick my battles and have decided that is not a battle worth fighting. I may not have many baubles this year if I have a home by then but next year I’m going to go all out and save so I can go and get whatever baubles I fancy xx

if you are hopefully in a home by then you'll be inundated with spoons 🤣 x

Has anyone seen the Japanese Art of Kintsugi. The basically repair broken pots with gold to highlight the cracks but make it more beautiful. The philosophy being that nothing is beyond repair, thins can be given new life and even with cracks everything can just be made more beautiful. Our priest at church did a whole sermon on it on Sunday. Thought is very applicable to human life.

I honestly don’t know how I got the two muddled up , I got both appointments come thorough within the space of a few days so that may be why. I’m trying not to worry but it seems like history is repeating itself if that make sense. Hopefully when they do a biopsy it will all come back clear xx

Hello @AdmittowearingCrocs , I hope you are ok? I’ve got to check my left leg every day until my appointment comes through and if I notice any more changes between now and then I’ve got to contact my oncologist straight away. It is worrying tbh but I’m hoping all will be ok.
I was really looking forward to going to tesco today but at least I have something to look forward to for another day .
