I’m glad you’re good @nornironlady . Your walk (and run) to the forest sounds amazing. How do you feel after it? I love nature I bet it was lovely. At my old home there was a lovely walking trail past fields and farms and loads of trees I used to walk there often and there was sheep and horses too it was lovely. I’m glad you got out in the fresh air .
Ive just seen my daughter which was lovely , kept taking pictures of her lol 😂. God I love her and the boys so much .
Yes the dreams aren’t very nice but if they help me in the long run to process everything then I can put up with them . It’s strange because even though I’ve been homeless for over a month now I still wake up each time and for a split second I forget where I am and then realise and it takes my breath away each and every time. It’s the shock of reality u guess.
Im so pleased to have seen my daughter but she did make a comment about my sister offering to fetch ex my bag of baubles my sister has there. Long story short but before I left I wanted to take my bag of Christmas baubles because it has taken me years to build my collection up and I treat myself every year to some nice new ones to add to it and I even got a bauble storage bag to put them all in. My sister suggested I keep it at hers until I get a home. I never took nothing else even though most of the furniture I bought , I didn’t want it just my baubles and now I’m not going to have them . I know it’s silly and they are just baubles but it was something that was mine you know . Anyway I’ll get over it and start a new collection just hurts my sister would do that when she already knows I have nothing xx

Oh Laura I'm gutted to hear about your baubles. I too am a collector and I can't stop at one every year! Building a new collection means new happier memories I hope. I feel great after the run. The stamina came from somewhere deeply hidden inside. I will definitely need to do some stretching this evening. I'm over the moon to hear about your visit with your daughter. The first of many I hope.

I’m so sorry about your sister, but when you have a new home start a new collection and let it remind you how strong you are and that you may be starting over, but you’re winning! Maybe you can collect decorative spoons and we can have fun looking for special ones for you! With of course your wooden spoon of courage being the OG 💕

That is so great! What a boost to know they independently want to see you and will make the effort to do so! Hold on to that as a reminder that you are a good Mum, even more so for telling your son to rest despite the fact you want to see him so much.

Thanks for asking how I am, I do appreciate it. I had a nice afternoon, a visit from an old and dear friend and his daughter. My SEN child is being a bit of a handful though, and I’m struggling with some of the personal stuff (weekends are particularly difficult) but have had lovely support on that from another friend which has fortified me a bit. Miss my late father at this time of year too.

im so sorry about your baubles , I really get that, it can be such a ritual and so many memories 🥰. Do you have pics of previous trees? Maybe you can build the collection back up and that be your special new home new life thing? I take DC and we choose one new special bauble each year that we love.

I had to leave everything when I left my ex and still feel a horrible pang when I think about the beautiful bookcase my uncle hand made me for my 21 birthday 😔. But it gets easier, I promise and sometimes you can make it more about the memories that can never leave and less about the actual things. I try and just appreciate the thought and care from my uncle and not the actual book case. But for how I think just allow yourself to feel sad about them.

I love baubles too and your very right about starting a new collection , I might even go for a complete different colour scheme to what I had before. Just can’t understand why my sister would do that when she was the one that suggested I keep it at hers for safety .

Isn’t it @Ruralretreating I was so happy to see her . My son texted me earlier and said he feels guilty and he wishes he had seen me but I told him not to feel guilty if your poorly you need to rest . I wish I was able to look after him , I hate the thought of him being under the weather and I’m not there.
Your visit from your friend sounds wonderful and I’m sorry to hear your having struggles. You sound like a wonderful parent.

I know I keep telling myself they are just material things and they can be replaced. I did love them though and was proud of my collection.

Hello! That's fabulous that you've seen your daughter!!! That must have given you such a boost! As to your sister and the baubles - that is outrageous!! I love that you are already planning a new collection though - and the spoons!!

I have had a very lazy day! A small bit of tidying the garden (which looked like it had been left to its own devices for months - which it pretty much had), and then a great deal of watching TV on the sofa. I wouldn't want the sofa to get lonely! 😀

I’m not feeling all that well. I get a lot of cystitis and needed antibiotics from doc on Thursday. Passed extremely blood stained wee this morning. Might have to phone doc again tomorrow. Also have a headache and sore throat and the last I had that it ended up being really nasty Covid.
