So I'm doing an online session, Find your inner spark. The host has mentioned a quote I think from Macauley Culkin but I missed the start.....anyway he says he can't muster up a huge level of enthusiasm for anything in the way he does when he finds a huge chip/crisp in the bag. It made me laugh because I know that delight of finding a massive crisp and showing it off 😂anyone else?

We had a dodgy machine in work for ages that would keep dispensing extra bottles of coke. It's the joy of something free I think!

Unfortunately I’ve never found money in a pocket but that would be a lovely surprise. 😂
Seeing my daughter was lovely thank you , she spent the whole time showing me screenshots she had taken of what she wants in her bedroom, I had to gently tell her that it may take a good few months to get her bedroom how she wants it but it was lovely to see her excited. We had KFC I had a zinger burger and she had popcorn chicken and mash. I’m not a fan of the KFC chips though they are abit soft.
My youngest was texting me last night and he said he’s been thinking about Christmas and how he doesn’t want me to be on my own this is the message he sent :

No mam I will worry about that no one deserves to be alone on Christmas certainly not u xx

So I reassured him that I’ve already got my plan for the day made. I’m going to sofa lounge watching loads of films and eating my body weight in food. And after he seemed ok with that.
I know I’m soooo excited , counting down the days. I’m going to see it this weekend and try and have a peek. I spoke to them today and the builders are still completing it but they have agreed a completion date of 18th xx

I had a lovely time thank you, I was thinking about you today as wanted to share something that happened this afternoon which I I think you might be proud of?
As you know my ex has already started being difficult now he knows I’ve got a house and won’t let youngest get bus to bus station and then another bus to school. So today I was looking on Doncaster council website and there was a ‘transport services’ page so I rang the number on there and spoke to a lady and told her the situation and why I am in this situation. She told me to send everything to her on an email. Anyway the service manager emailed me and asked me for my phone number which I emailed him back and gave it . Less than a minute later he rang me. We was talking for over 45 mins and he explained that the council has funding for extreme circumstances for transport and he’s going to speak to his manager tomorrow to get it signed off but basically they are willing to fund a taxi each term each way and back from my house . I couldn’t believe it. I’m not going to say anything to ex other than that I’ve sorted out private transport for youngest xx

That's amazing news!! Your ex won't be happy at that I'm sure, he will be desperate to put anything in your way that he can!!
dont forget people have already said they will support you to get your kids back once you are settled....he won't win this xxx

It is isn’t it @Munchyseeds2 , I do feel guilty about using tax payers money though , hopefully I will soon be well enough to work again so I can contribute to society. Ex won’t be happy at all and he’ll keep trying to throw obstacles in my way but if it ends up going to court and he says he doesn’t want his son using public transport at least I’ll be able to say I did x,y and z to overcome that obstacle. The more he tries to put obstacles in my way the more it makes me determined at the moment . I’m sure it’s going to make me break down at times but as long as I keep trying to get back up again I’ll take it xx

At this rate, Laura, we’ll be sending you to America to sort out Donald Trump! 😂

I am glad you are not going to divulge the source of funding for your son’s taxi, he doesn’t need to know. There is no way he can object to your son being with you now that he will driven to and from school. Thank you for thinking of me today.
Another source of funding your support workers/mental health team can access for you is “Margaret’s Fund” a charity specifically for women for help in a difficult situation. It does need a referral from a professional.

Glad you had a nice time with your daughter. That’s so lovely she was so excited about her room 😍. And your youngest is so sweet worrying about you at Christmas. You’ll have all of us checking in too during the day I’m sure! And with all you’ve got through in the last few weeks, getting through one day in your own home will be a doddle.

That’s such amazing news on the taxi to school for your youngest! I love that every time your ex tries to put a spanner in the works it’ll just be flung back at him 😆.

Definitely don’t worry about taking the help - these special funds etc wouldn’t exist if they weren’t necessary and important. Just get all the help you can, you’ve been through hell and you’re just needing a bit of a hand to get back on your feet then there will be no stopping you.

Thank you so much ❤️ It was really nice seeing her and spending time with her. Do you remember that lash serum I told you about that I was flabbergasted about because it cost £38? Well omg it works! Her lashes have gotten so long in just 2 weeks they look amazing .
My youngest is the sweetest darling bless him he’s very thoughtful. And I’m not worried about spending Christmas on my own , I will know my children will be having a nice day and i will just be grateful I have a home . That’s the best Christmas feeling ever .
It’s amazing news about the taxi isn’t it , one day I’m going to be like all of you and be giving advice to people who feel trapped and are experiencing DV and are worried about losing their home. I’m going to be able to tell them that they can do it , it will be hard but it will be worth it. And I’ll be able to point them in the direction of what help they can apply for etc .

In Shay and Blue news, the samples arrived! I shall test them one by one and let you all know what they are like! Blood Orange is pretty much what it says on the tin - smells like oranges. It doesn't seem to last or be as strong as Black Tulip though - there is none of that feeling of wafting around in a fabulous perfume haze. I like it, but I think you could get roughly the same effect with CK One plus squirting yourself with a bit of fresh orange juice! Basically it smells like an orange wearing CK One!

It’s all you spoon crew who have given me courage to do things and advocate for myself. A month ago I would never have dreamed of what’s happened this last week .
The football bedroom is lovely but it will take a while to do and decorate will just have to get a few bits each month. Rome wasn’t built in a day lol 😂
Ohhhh shay and blue . I’d save the orange one for summer if it was me , let us know what the others smell like I’m looking forward to hearing about them. The black tulip they do a hand and body wash and a lotion too! I’d like to smell the lilac and gooseberries one but I think you can’t beat black tulip xx

Hi @Imbluedalale ! Thanks so much for asking about me, I do appreciate it. I think @RaspberryBeretxx asked about me the other day too which is so sweet and again appreciated.

Busy day with work, and had first counselling session which was very emotional. Poor counsellor looked slightly shocked at the amount of stuff on my plate, “chaos” was how she described it 😂.

This evening was amazing, went to see my eldest in a school music event and he absolutely smashed it, I’ve never seen him perform so well, I was speechless. Even though his group didn’t win, they were incredible and he dealt with the disappointment really well, which he quite often doesn’t (he’s autistic). So I was prepared for a meltdown and instead got a marvellous evening and it has really cheered me up.

I am super proud of you for sorting out the transport for your son, that’s amazing! You are doing brilliantly. And the excitement of your children about their rooms is wonderful. Love the football one! So glad you had a good time with your daughter too. And it’s so great to hear you talking about your future. You and the other awesome ladies on this thread give me inspiration every time I read it.

Though I can’t shake the idea that @ChoccieCornflake now smells like a Terry’s chocolate orange 🍫🍊

It’s great news about the taxi isn’t it , I feel quite pleased with myself for looking into it and enquiring. You guys on here have massively helped me change my mindset. Yes it’s really crap what happened and I didn’t deserve to be treated like that but I’m not the first woman and I won’t be the last. The main thing is I got out, I’ve not got somebody every day telling me what a bad awful person I am , I’m ready to start my new life . They do say life begins at 40 🥰xx
