A girl after my own heart. It's such an event getting ready for work these days as I'm always WFH. I take great joy in choosing something to leave the house in! It's great she's thinking of normal things though, that's all we want for them. Oh you might have put me in the mood for KFC now.......when do they open 😂

Oh I miss wearing work clothes @nornironlady , I used to have so many dresses and heels until they made us wear proper uniform which was an ordeal in itself as it was an uncomfortable blue dress with an underskirt which always rode up and you had to wear navy shoes which in winter was a nightmare as black tights didn’t work with navy shoes but if you wore navy tights you was ‘too blue’ 😂😂, yes I’m glad my children can talk to me about normal stuff , I think they are coming round to the idea that having 2 separate homes is our new normal . KFC opens at 11am 😂I like the chicken but I don’t like the new chips . OMG since yesterday I’ve had Pete the stomper on floor above I can hear him now stomp stomp stomp, it must be time of the month as it’s making me boil with rage 😤 xx

I gave up on heels after my son. They were no longer practical and now I can't face putting a pair on. I wear trainers on the odd night out. Yes you are probably running low on tolerance for Pete upstairs, getting out will do you the world of good today. I get like that often WFH. You might even miss him when you move 😂

Oh I don’t wear heels anymore , the pain some of them gave me . You know at school when you did wood technology and you had to put the wood in that gripper thing that was attached to the table?Well thats what it felt like with my heels like my feet were being squeezed 😂
I think Pete is wearing some steel toe capped boots he just keeps walking from one end of the room to the other . Maybe he’s from the council! Yes that’s a reasonable explanation, he’s doing it on purpose!xx

The vice....we used to put our fingers in and see how far we could tighten it.....I had forgotten all about that 😂please tell me others did this too!!

Thats lovely that you told your children and they’re all so positive even your eldest! Maybe without his dad around to stir things up you might be able to move your relationship on. Love their room choices and that they’re thinking about the future. What team does your son support?

Ha, I remember wearing heels for work and just in general, I was always in heels. I feel like I’ve lost the ability to wear them too although I sometimes do a block heel or small heel for a meal out. Thank god there are lots of flat shoes and boots in fashion now.

Yes! I remember doing this too 🤣. And scratching a “tattoo” into our arm with a compass and putting ink on it 😳. It never lasted (thank god).

@RaspberryBeretxx What was going on in our heads, I was never brave enough for the compass but I know many people who did do it. It was more during 80's here while I went to High School in 90's.

Morning @RaspberryBeretxx how are you today? I didn’t sleep great , had Pete the stomper upstairs and Dave the cougher downstairs.
Yeah I really hope we can get to a better place with our relationship, hopefully one day he’ll want to stay now and again. My youngest supports Man City but he specifically said he doesn’t want any Man City stuff but he wants it to look more like a changing room. I’ll add the picture so it gives you a better idea. I’m getting more and more convinced that stompy Pete is from the council!😂😂
Was it just my school or did anyone else used to play the 99 game? Where your friend scratched your arm 99 times until it was red raw?Why did we inflict pain on ourselves?😂😂xx

I know, crazy! Sometimes DS tell me about stupid games where they hit each others knuckles and things and I’m like 😱 till I remember some of the things we did 🤣.

The council are making sure you’re aware it’s not the ritz with robot vacs and stompy Pete 🤣 (that autocorrected to stinky Pete 🤣).

I didn’t hear about the 99 game, that sounds painful 😱🤣.

the changing room style bedroom sounds really cool. I’d love to see a pic. Man City is actually one of the nicer colours with pale blue so if he had wanted that it wouldn’t be too bad!

😂😂😂😂😂mine always autocorrects to stinky Pete too! Oh and yesterday whilst I was having a nap the receptionist came in to check my fire alarms were working , apparently they do this every Wednesday but they didn’t last Wednesday. The council are determined to ruin my stay at the Ritz 😂😂😂
We also used to play a stupid game that actually put me in hospital for a week. You had to turn round and round 10 times with your head down and on 10th time suck in your breath and the other people would then press on your heart until you fainted . We did in the girls changing rooms before pe and I fell and they didn’t catch me and landed on my head . Everyone got a good rollicking in assembly for that , we never played it after that xx

Our 99 game was called Chinese burn?? Someone would twist the skin on our arms until it was red raw! My son plays the Yellow car game! Then he will make up others for other colours Love the room idea, there's loads of that metal/wood industrial type furniture now

Oh I remember that game! Honestly what was we thinking?My youngest once did yellow car game on me and I wasn’t expecting it and he punched me in the arm and I was carrying a 4 pinter of milk from the village home . Dropped the milk and it went everywhere. I was fuming!xx

When I was in secondary school in the 70s we used to have a male teacher that would play knuckles with the boys when we were in year 10/11. It was a very rough school though 😂

Yeah he couldn’t stop laughing , I find it funny now but at the time I was fuming. Youngest also likes to scare jump when your least expecting it 😂😂😂xx

I do the scare thing on my son....lurk behind a door waiting for him to come and jump out of his skin 😆
