Men with boats cheat

The subject says it all!

I’ve long believed that men only buy boats to use them as floating love shacks. My friend thinks I’m being ridiculous and says boats are just a great lifestyle choice. Recently, she told me her husband is thinking of buying a boat, and I couldn’t help but give her that look! She insists he’d never cheat, but in my experience, every man I’ve known who had a boat wasn’t exactly faithful.

Honestly, if my husband bought one, I might even consider it grounds for divorce!

So, am I being unreasonable? Can men own boats without it leading to adultery, or am I totally right to be suspicious? Should men with boats just wear a t-shirt that says, "Don’t trust me?"

(For the record, this doesn’t apply to fishermen making a living or people who live on boats!)

You spelled cocks incorrectly.

AnImaginaryCat · 16/09/2024 07:08

Does the type of boat indicate the type of sexual sessions to expect?

Fishing boats (fishermen excluded) - stabile, strong, and durable.
Bass boats - plenty of horsepower
Bowrider boats -runabout style
Cabins Boats - easy navigation.
Centre Console Boats - ideal in harsh conditons
Dinghy Boats - small and rubbery
Life Boats - good in an emergency
Pontoon Boat - in to cruising
Deck Boats - expect a group of people.
Jon Boats - entry level
Sailing boats -the windier the better

I may have thought about this too much. 🤣

I only know one man with a boat. As far as I know he doesn't cheat
But if he did, it wouldn't be on the boat as it's a one person kayak.

So true.

Mirror dinghy - clueless Virgin
mega yacht- mega cock?

Crispyturtle · 16/09/2024 07:27

LOL, my DH has a boat, he spends all his spare time tinkering with it, looking at boat stuff on the internet and .talking to his (male) boaty friends about boat stuff. His spare money goes on boat stuff. My garage is full of boat stuff. When we have days off together, he makes me go on the boat with his. He’s far too busy looking at his boat, thinking about his boat, paying for his boat etc to fit in another woman.

Dymaxion · 16/09/2024 07:37

My husband has a kayak and if he managed to cheat in that I'd honestly be more impressed than angry.

I don't know anyone who owns a boat, therefore logically I must not know any men who cheat! One of the benefits of living in Birmingham I suppose.

MrsCarson · 16/09/2024 07:52

We've had boats our whole adult life, Dh used them for fishing/taking the boys overnight fishing/ Water skiing/ Sunday mornings on the lake with the family (Day changed over time depending on work schedules)
No cheating went on. To be fair we lived in a hot place and everyone had boats.

Thank you OP. Best AIBU in years 😅

bringmorewashing · 16/09/2024 07:57

Oh dear, DH keeps talking about getting a boat. I guess it's lucky he can't afford one 🤣

OhmygodDont · 16/09/2024 07:59

Only if his online profile pictures are also holding a fish eugh. Every man who does that seems to be slime ball.

Silviasilvertoes · 16/09/2024 08:08

Littletreefrog · 15/09/2024 21:59

Well you would have to have very good balance and flexibility to get up to much on the boat we have!

Was just thinking this 😂 Not to mention weather resilience.

Probably the other way round if anything.

All my friends have boats. They’re all swingers so I think you’re on to something. One couple has four boats, god knows what they get up to.

😂😂😂

zaxxon · 16/09/2024 08:11

It's the ones with submarines that you really have to watch out for

Where does a man with a tent stand?

Can he stand in a tent? Is it big enough?

DustyLee123 · 16/09/2024 08:14

Men don’t need a boat to cheat.

MrsMitford3 · 16/09/2024 08:14

My DS is a rower who owns his own boat.

I feel fairly confident his single scull is not a gateway boat to lascivious behaviour.

Sixtygoingonthirty · 16/09/2024 08:15

Funniest thread I’ve read in a while! 😂

Barrenfieldoffucks · 16/09/2024 08:17

Ha, most of the 'racers' I worked with in my 20ies would shag anything that moved, but I'm sure they've grown out of that now. The average yachtie? No, I don't think so. Ours certainly doesn't see that kind of action 😂

GrouachMacbeth · 16/09/2024 08:20

And men who prefer the company of around 49999 other men, all drilling over millionaires kicking a ball around a pitch for 90 minutes, shelling out thousands for season tickets, travel (UK and overseas) to say nothing of the drink are good husbands?

PrincessofWells · 16/09/2024 08:20

I have a boat. I don't shag around.
Most people I know have boats. They don't either, they're more likely to sail in them than shag in them.

Lovemusic82 · 16/09/2024 08:20

My dad had a boat…..he only used it for fishing 😬.

You could say the same about many things. I have met men with boats, planes, fancy cars, camper vans (bed on wheels), nice houses, 2nd homes etc….etc….

I have also met cheats…none of which own any of the above.

Lots of men buy boats to get away from nagging wives. (Source - I used to work in the ocean racing industry!)

What a lovely misogynist post for Monday morning . . .
