My next door neighbour wears a full face of make up every single day without fail. I say this having just bumped into her in my pj's with no make up...

What a slapper!

So you’re suggesting she’ s free with her favours, just because she likes makeup?

KimberleyClark · 16/11/2024 23:40

Never.

HermoinePotter · 16/11/2024 23:43

I wear a full face of make up every day. It’s nothing to do with anyone else if I choose to wear it or not.

Persephonegoddess · 16/11/2024 23:57

I am defo like @HelloYouGuys I don't wear any, and may put on little for a wedding or night out.
If I wear any make up on my skin it ends up making my skin far worse than if I wear nothing.
I think no one should have to feel like they have to wear it or it's a social norm... it should be a personal choice, anyone who thinks it's a requirement is wrong

PlantDoctor · 16/11/2024 23:59

I may have posted on this thread previously that I only ever wear it for special occasions, but I just started a new job this week (WFH but lots of video calls for training) and I wanted to be presentable so I've been wearing it this week and...

I actually really like it! It doesn't take as long as I expected now that I'm more in the swing of it, and I do actually feel more confident wearing it. I had my photo taken today and I looked much better than normal! I'm not saying I'll always wear it but I can better understand how people enjoy it now.

Makeup is such a beautiful, beautiful, little word. I wear it everyday.

I use Farrah and Ball Dutch Orange for my visage but around the eyes, I lighten this area to show off my bigly, blue eyes, and so here I like to apply diluted Tippex.

snort 😂😂

IDontHateRainbows · 17/11/2024 01:20

Most days. At a minimum, tinted Moisturiser and powder and a bit of eyebrow pencil. Increasing to Eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick. Rarely mascara unless I'm going out out, it's a bugger taking it off afterwards.

Maddy70 · 17/11/2024 01:21

I get up, make a coffee, get in the shower apply make up every single day even if I'm staying indoors

potatocrates · 17/11/2024 02:23

Never, I have sensory issues and don’t like the look and feel of it. Fortunately my current employer doesn’t care. My previous one was constantly on about it and eventually encouraged me to leave (which I did).

StressedQueen · 17/11/2024 02:31

I heavily dislike the sensory feeling of it tbh but I do enjoy doing it lightly and not using a whole lot. I feel like it ruins my skin so I only use specific products. I tend to do a bit of mascara and lip gloss with curled lashes for daily use. If I'm going out to a party or special event, I'll add blush and concealer in. My teenage daughter helps me most of the time tbh!

I do do skincare every night and morning as I feel like glowy skin is better for me

Redlarge · 17/11/2024 02:39

Everyday in work and if I go out out. Don't bother if it's a day off.

Zanatdy · 17/11/2024 02:49

Daily I wear a BB cream, powder and little contour on my cheeks. Largely to even out skin and hide shine. When going into the office 2-3 times per week i’ll also add a little eye make up. But only a natural look. My nieces have so much make up and take ages doing it. I mean they look nice, but it’s too much for me.

StandingSideBySide · 17/11/2024 02:53

I never wear it
If I’m going to a wedding I might put some eyeliner on and mascara but haven’t been to a wedding now in years

Last time I wore makeup was for a fancy dress party at halloween but I’m guessing you don’t mean that type of makeup 🤣

That’s shocking!

Edingril · 17/11/2024 02:58

I dont

ToffeePennie · 17/11/2024 03:02

Never.
all my make up is purely for stage use, so I wear make up twice a year for a week at a time and never at any other time.
I hate the way it seems to be synonymous with “feminine” and “beautiful” as so many women would look much better without it plastered all over their faces. it clogs the pores up and makes your faces look worse in the long run, as well as ageing you incredibly if you’re not super super careful.

YankSplaining · 17/11/2024 03:04

Haven’t worn any since 2002.

I have to agree with the aging thing.
I don’t know if it’s true of everyone but I think I don’t have any lines under my eyes at all ( I’m 58 ) because I’m not pulling them about to put on and take off makeup which I’ve never worn. It’s just a guess but friends have commented too and it’s all we could think of apart from my high intake of veggies

We keep on getting told 'society forces women to wear it' no they don't its a choice no one has too

I think it looks awful personally

Lifestooshort71 · 17/11/2024 05:59

I'm 72 and wore make up every day in a customer-facing role so very rarely wear much now. Always eyebrows as they've fallen out and sometimes a lip stain Kiko/L'Oreal. I do have a lovely foundation (no7) and blusher (Clinique) which go on once in a blue moon but, tbh, it's taking it all off at night that puts me off! I home tint my lashes so never wear mascara.

sanityisamyth · 17/11/2024 06:21

Never.

Rina66 · 17/11/2024 06:39

Nearly every day (and have done for 42 years!) I wear foundation, powder bronzer, brows, eyeliner, mascara, lip pencil and lipsticks of various colours to match my outfits. I love it but I never notice if anyone else is wearing it, it's a personal choice not compulsory!
I take it off at night whilst watching the TV downstairs, then use a quick balm cleanse before I go to bed.

Chan9eusername · 17/11/2024 06:42

Almost never. I actually think you can hit a point as you age where too much make up looks worse.

When you stop wearing makeup you get used to how you look without it and find it weird looking with it on.

GymBergerac · 17/11/2024 07:16

Never. But then I don't really take any notice if other people do
