Oasis ticketmaster issues

Is anyone else getting unreasonably mad that the ticketmaster site has completely crashed whilst trying to secure oasis tickets?!

Obviously you’re not on your own - millions of people AREN’T trying for tickets. But this thread is mostly full of people who ARE 🫠

I agree and don’t think they will be able for a big tour like Niall Horan or Coldplay or Taylor Swift who are up on treadmills all day, lifting weights, and are almost athletes with the show schedules.

The money might be rolling in today, but not many people at that age could perform at the highest level expected for months on end.

I went to Taylor Swift a couple of weeks ago, be splashed out and bought some really decent tickets. I'd say at least 60% of people around us were American

I’ll never understand why people come on Mumsnet, go to threads of things they have no interest in, read them, then make a pointless negative comment. Don’t you have anything better to do with your morning? Okay you don’t want to see them, plenty of us do?

Obviously not, the same poster is going on all the oasis threads posting the same drivel, clearly trying to pick a fight. What a loser.

Literally hundreds of examples: "When Noel penned a list of his favorite bands of all time and, it was, unsurprisingly, a bunch of bands fronted by white men. He admitted that he wasn’t allowing women onto the list.". Or the "get your tits out for the lads". Or the female reporters who crossed them then were taken down with misogynistic comments in front of tens of thousands. Literally hundreds of examples.
Still women here happily keep funding them...

It’s not too dissimilar to my Facebook newsfeed. I can’t think of many things more boring than wanting online attention based on the fact I’m so edgy and don’t like something other people do. I had hoped it would increase my chances of a ticket with people rushing to exclaim how unbothered they were, but alas not.

You can separate the art from the artist. I’m not into them myself - I was a goth back in the day so it’s not my music vibe - but DPs colleague described it as “would I like to have a pint with either of them - no way - but would I like to go to the gig and watch them play - yes”.

@MummBRaaarrrTheEverLeaking I was talking to DH about better ways. Bear in mind there are 1 million tickets all released on same day to prevent touts buying some for each date in effect, it would take an awful lot of people to take those calls.. it should have been an ID style ticket with photo on like Glastonbury to stop bots and touts. Also and limited to one per person, whereas there will be people who manage to get more than one venue. My friends daughter who danced to oasis as a 3 year old in my kitchen has 2 tickets. I can’t get near…. I will have to give up soon… leven thought my name features in one of their best known songs 🤣. I can’t wait, and I will have to walk on by.

I was on Ticketmaster at 8, selected my date, watching the timer tick down by the second for the "buy" button to become active.

3...2....1......

Error 503.

Fucking thing kicked me out. Tried to get back on the page. Error 503. And again. Error 503. And again. "Sorry we think you are a bot"

So after sitting there since 8, I was then joining a numberless queue at 9.02 behind everyone else who hadn't even logged on until 9. Gaaaaaaaaàaaaaaaargh.

To be fair that's basically how the Taylor tickets worked and people still bitched and moaned about it!

I got standing tickets. Was in the waiting room for about 8.15 and was around number 2000 in the queue when it opened. Kicked me out initially for thinking I was a bot but when I refreshed the page I was in.

Finally got through but only tickets left were out our budget ☹️

Same here. Dd in queue from 8, got from 60k to being first in queue.

Selected tickets and went to pay, got booted out.

Her and three mates very pissed off.

It's just the fact when you get to that stage then that bloody happens.

4 hours in a queue for 30th July, got through - nothing left except ridiculously priced tickets and every time I tried to select two got “checking availability” and then an error and told to select different tickets.

Waste of time.

We got Heaton Park tickets. Got in the waiting room at 8.20, were 23,000 in the queue when it opened. About an hour and a half to get through the queue. All worked ok on the app though and with payments thank goodness!

Anyone know if there’s any tickets still available? I am half way through the numberless ticketmaster queue (been in it 3 hours now) and also keep refreshing the 2 other tickets websites but don’t want to bother if they’re all sold out anyway.

Were the same. The blue line and is now under the word 'your' - just sat here reading so just letting it keep running.

Expecting to see £500 VIP tickets left.

My DP is convinced they're going to add more mid week dates to join up some of the weekends - let's hope he's right!
