Based in the broad views seen here, I can't believe that there isn't someone who is involved either passively or actively.

There are plenty of "bad actors" stirring up hate on every popular online platform. Mumsnet is no different. There is no reason to believe anyone on here is who they claim to be. I'm sure there are Russian propaganda trolls on here.

4 countries have now issued travel warnings to the UK. So the country that these idiots think they are defending they are damaging. Uni students are unlikely to want to come with this news and foreign investment will look elsewhere . Doesn't help that the government don't seem have done anything other than leave it to the police to take a battering .

The UK police have been defunded and 'politically messed around with' for decades and Labour have only been in office foir 2 weeks with full access to the ACTUAL books and a chance to speak to regional commanders.
At least the new Home Secretary can call on GCHQ and others to analyse phone data to build a proper picture of what is happening and who, which will of course will be a monumental task. Remember EVERY mobile phone communicates it's position to within 10 Metres so the data is available BUT it is the Home Secretary in the UK who has the power to DEMAND data is examined, not necessarily Starmer. There is of couyrse an issue that Foreign powers (USA and others) have probably also been collecting this data as 'secrecy' is largely a myth and it is ony a matter of TIME before data can be read and acted upon which in many cases maked the resulting DATA almost useless.

You may not see a vast amount of women throwing stuff but the ladies are using soft power behind the scenes with the men.The women are not all passive and think the government will sort out the issues the country is facing.So yes we are there just not on the front line.

I would not join these imbecilic riots, but if they ever start fracking here (they wouldn't, I have 18 ins of top soil then chalk) I will be the old lady glued to the road.
So, would I ever riot, yes, but safely, politely, and probably with a good book, my specs safely attached to a chain around my neck, a first aid kit, spare sandwiches and water for the feckless, plenty of tissues and a sun hat.
I also have a little knife with many, many attachments, but I am wary of carrying it whilst rioting. A little fold up stool, perhaps?

Turning magenta through raving is not the same issue as being denigrated on the basis of the skin colour you are born with. It's a temporary state, owing to a particular emotional response. You can look up the term, which clearly explains its meaning, and you are splitting hairs (why? in order to deviate from the very real issue that is the ugly racism at the root of these riots?)

Only you know. My criticism is a criticism of behaviour, and the demographic who are very clearly, as plain as the nose on your face, indulging in that behaviour. Look at the headlines of any newspaper in the country. There is no clearer evidence you could find.

'MN' is not a homogeneous group. There are people with many different viewpoints. And quite a lot of the inflammatory or 'innocently questioning' posts in the last week have been from new accounts ... not 'MNers', just people using the site for their own ends. Doubtless keyboard warriors who don't dirty their own hands and who think they'll never be held accountable.

I would say MN and the majority of the media are left-wing - if you look at how they report things.

Just saw one today trying to justify the violence because apparently the immigrants were at the windows mooning and sticking middle fingers up at them... It was "all peaceful" til then apparently.
I'm not sure how they expected the immigrants to react to the angry mob shouting smashing up the place they're living. Smiles? Bringing cups of tea and custard creams on a tray for them all??

I can think of two other demographics who despise and denigrate women, and who frequently rear their ugly heads on MN, so why not another one? People hell bent on incitement will use any online method they can, and MN is often used in this way.
