To wonder how women wear dresses in the heat

Please can someone help! How on earth are most people wafting about in dresses in the heat?

I'm a U.K. 12 and if I wear dresses in the summer with normal pants my thighs rub together so badly, it's impossible to walk more than 5 minutes!

I have chub rub pants which are great and I put up with how sweaty they make me, but they are absolutely not suitable for a holiday where I'm wearing little beach dresses etc and it's very hot.

I've tried thigh gel in the past and found it makes no difference, it rubs off right away.

Is this just me? I'm slightly overweight but not a lot and find this happens even when I'm slimmer.

Grin what like some wide legged weirdo? You ever tried to do that?!

I have. Just after I made the post

I’m still giggling to myself.

I live in tropical Australia, so I wear dresses all year round, even in 42°+ humid heat. I’m not overweight but I used to be and my thighs used to rub due to my pear shape. Antiperspirant deodorant sprayed on each inner thigh is what worked for me. I still do it now out of habit, especially when running marathons despite losing 35kg and having a thigh gap for the first time in my adult life happy dance

Men's deodorant works better, but any will do. Try that (when your chafing heals).

Can’t you just walk with you feet further apart?

😂🤣😂😂

I usually get chub rub but I'm 30 weeks pregnant and waddling with my legs slightly apart. Problem solved!
