How the hell is this being allowed! I’ve seen the volume of medals they are earning - medals which should be earned by women. Men and women are not physically comparable and this is just a line which once again shouldn’t be crossed.

Politicians don't govern sports, and even if UK politicians kicked up a stink, that's inconsequential for sports where the governing bodies are based outside the UK anyway.

It's a problem for the governing bodies of individual sports to tackle.

You'd think it would be obvious. However, I think it's the Emperor's New Clothes. If you say something that's obviously at odds with the facts, people assume it must be true that there's been a new scientific discovery, or how could you hope to get away with it? In this case, millions of years of human evolution is just being batted aside as if somehow something massive's changed in the last few years. Well, spoiler alert, it hasn't. Women have separate sports for the same reason children and older athletes do - it means like is competing with like. Male bodies that went through male puberty are still male bodies that went through male puberty even if the male is taking oestrogen and wearing stereotypically female clothing.

(And it's right and proper that they went through male puberty. Everybody has to go through puberty, even if it's tough. It's an essential part of human development and the children currently being given blockers are getting drugs that have a lot of very nasty side effects. Huge medical scandal in the making.)

The training hours athletes (pro and not pro) put it to get good at what they do is immense. The fact that anyone can be knocked out of competition because some mediocre bloke with a host of biological advantages comes along and decides he’s a woman now is appalling.

The whole thing has made me realise how much people really don’t give a shit about women.

I and my whole family hugely applaud any athlete that refuses to participate.

Some like the women swimmers who had to compete against Lia Thomas had college scholarships which they were in danger of losing if they spoke out against it.

Biological men should be banned from women's sports full stop. No exceptions.

How are you proposing UK politicians dictate to sporting bodies based outside the UK, when there is absolutely no onus upon them to pay the blindest bit of notice?

The sacrifices that elite sportspeople make are incredible.

To loose out on a place bc a cheating male barges in is utterly outrageous.

Not forgetting the sacrifices their families make to support that athlete from grass roots to top of their game.

Women need to leave the control of these governing bodies and set up their own competition. For women, run by women. Leave the men to run their own two categories (for men calling themselves men and men calling themselves women).

It's infuriating. YANBU. How can anyone look at a male on a podium, winning a medal in the female category and think it's okay because he's wearing nail varnish? It's ridiculous.

i have absolutely no issue with anyone wanting to be whatever they want to be! but when it comes to sport... have you noticed its males who have chosen to be females who are stealing and cheating other women out of medals.. i cannot think of one example where a woman who has chosen to be a man has won any medals in any field of sport... and we all know why this is. i don't care what operations you have, what blockers or medications you take. the male body, with or without certain appendages is always going to be so much stronger than that of a biological female! its sad and its cheating.

look at leah thomas the swimmer.... was at the bottom of his league as a male swimmer, and now, hey presto he is now a she (i have no issue with this) and she is now competing and beating bilogical woman hands down.
