This is the first time I’ve really noticed it but as I was playing with my son in a park, a man was on the phone with his hand literally inside his trousers as he paced. Every now and then he’s pull it out and scratch his balls and put it back in. Like all the way in. It’s weird. I could never get away with doing this. It’s rude and I don’t want to have to see that. I feel like this wouldn’t have happened 50-100 years ago and it’s slobbish and disgusting not to mention unhygienic. I feel unreasonable for being annoyed at this. They’re so comfortable in society that the park is like their bedroom apparently. Whereas women often feel the need to make themselves as small as possible in society. Rant over.

I work with teenagers who always have their hands down their joggers. We ask them to stop a lot, but it's a comfort thing, when they don't know what to do with their hands and have no pockets.

How are people more horrified at the anonymous photo than the ball scratching 🤢

It is really quite pathetic to be made uncomfortable by this. I could understand it if you were sitting at a table or in a group with someone doing this, or if they were looking at you and were doing it because they actively wanted to be seen. But this bloke was minding his own business paying you no attention while you watched him for over ten minutes and took photos. You created the discomfort in your own head for something as meaningless as a harmless anti social habit. Lots of people have them over all sorts of things. It’s probably best to stay away from public places if you can’t cope with that.

It is a problem. It's indecent. And people then touch door handles, lift buttons etc and someone else has to touch their ball sweat.

Men are perfectly right to feel so at ease in public that they furtle around with their genitals as the urge takes them. All spaces are man spaces.

Women are perfectly wrong to publicly dislike anything a man does, anywhere, regardless of incivility or the presence of children. Women must respect the male and his urges. Women must never shame male behaviour by taking photos of it.
