Wearing a skimpy bikini around teenage son

I'm late 40's and have recently lost alot of weight. I have treated myself to some new bikinis for an upcoming beach holiday and some are thong styles. I did originally buy the thong ones for when me and DH go away later in the year alone. But every holiday I go on abroad there is so many people younger and older than me showing all their bums! When I was a teen it was rare, but not anymore. Just not sure I'm brave enough or if it would be a massive no with adult/teen children! Wwyd?

Some of us don't have the choice of covering up our whole bum, doesn't matter what I wear it never covers everything. Same goes for my cellulite, it's visible in clothes let alone on the beach.

So I think as long as there is some coverage then go with it, just don't wear a g string one.

My theory when I’m on the beach is that there’s always someone who is going to look better than me and there’s always someone who will look worse.

This was me last year, I don’t see the issue.

The millions of videos online and photos of women in thongs.

The multitude of women who sell and make huge amounts of money on onlyfans, wearing thongs.

Thongs can absolutely amazing on some women. You sound like you're projecting your own body issues now as you have such an issue with underwear and swim wear.

Who are you to judge someone on whether they look 'good enough' in a thong?

If someone has the opinion that someone looks amazing wearing a thong, then that's what they think.

You harping on with your generous briefs and pearls clutched tightly still doesn't mean that no one looks good in a thong. Perhaps you dont look good in one, but it doesn't mean no one else in this world doesn't either.

@BristolBloke I whole heartedly agree with you. Some women look incredibly wearing a thong. I wore one last year to a beach party and received comments from various people. According to this thread they were all lying and I looked horrific. 😂

No one is judging other wimen’s bodies. Just as other posters have said, we don’t all want to see bare bottoms when we go out, no matter what size or shape.
There are lots of beautiful, stylish swimming costumes around.

@Flowery57 The first thong I saw was on a beach back in the 1990’s when I was 16. A man was wearing thong swimming trunks and he was in good shape. I still didn’t like the look!

The OP didn't ask if random blokes who are for some reason moved to read and post on threads about thongs thought they looked good, did she? She asked if as a mum we thought it would embarass her son. So unless the men are here to tell us whether or not they were embarrassed by their own mothers thong bikini as a boy, I'm not sure what opinion they have to offer that's of any value. Random bloke thinks thong bikinis look good on some women. Let's all take a moment to read and reflect on what we've learned from that that we didn't know before and remotely care about. So as not to be 'sexist' I'll also add that you telling us how good you look in a thong is of equal irrelevance to the OPs question.

Nobody should be wearing thong bikinis imo. When I was in holiday a couple of months ago, the only person I saw wearing one was a girl in her 20s, and I thought that was grim enough - having inadvertently get an eyeful of her arse every time she walked past!

Why not go to a nudist resort if you're eager to get your bits out? At least there people sit on towels.
