Wearing a skimpy bikini around teenage son

I'm late 40's and have recently lost alot of weight. I have treated myself to some new bikinis for an upcoming beach holiday and some are thong styles. I did originally buy the thong ones for when me and DH go away later in the year alone. But every holiday I go on abroad there is so many people younger and older than me showing all their bums! When I was a teen it was rare, but not anymore. Just not sure I'm brave enough or if it would be a massive no with adult/teen children! Wwyd?

Don’t wear the thong bikini and then when you do wear it later in the summer when it’s just you and DH, you’ll have the most hilarious tan lines front and back which - let me tell you, having spent a week around two women by the pool last week who were in just this situation - is a whole new level of cringe.

I think thongs look awful when people walk around in them but I always pull my bikini bottoms into a thong shape while sunbathing on my front and I've always gone topless when lying down, often in front of DS, now 24. I'm 62.

We went to an AI hotel last year and there was two young girls, no older than about 10-11 years old, walking around the pool wearing thongs every day. Just why would you allow your DD’s to wear them, let alone being able to buy them in child sizes.

I'd be surprised if haemorrhoids will be hanging down past one's arse cheeks. If they're hanging down that much, a brief shaped swim suit wouldn't be of much assistance.

My mum used to sunbathe topless when I was a teenager and I found it mildly embarrassing but I would have been waaaaaay more embarrassed if she was in some kind of "sexy" cut out thong bikini. It's not the nudity that's embarrassing it's seeing your mum in a sexy stripper-type outfit in public. I would have died.
