Just watching Chris Martin prancing around the stage at Glasto singing his pop music and can't help feeling annoyed that they started off as one thing and completely sold out to pop. AIBU to say that their parachutes album was and always will be the best.

I always thought they were a bit boring in the early days. Parachutes used to be our dinner parties background music, and I happily left the album for my ex when we split 20 years ago! But they’re good at what they do, you’ve got to give them that. I enjoy them much more nowadays.

I love them. Their live shows always look amazing and I’d love to get to see them in person live one day. Their shows and music is really atmospheric, and Chris Martin and the others always seem pretty humble and respectful.

I was just saying the same to DH. Lots of rambling on whilst strumming the same chord repeatedly.

Not a fan of Coldplay particularly (know one or two songs) and don’t get the Michael J Fox thing, but they’re putting on a good concert and making people smile. We need more of that. Job done!

They did wheel him off a bit quickly though.

It's very much not DP's thing, but he admits they give a good show.

A lot of really successful stars aren't especially brilliant singers (Kylie and Madonna are 2 that spring to mind) but have something else that just resonates or makes them popular, they have great performance quality.
I love Coldplay and have liked them from the beginning, but I don't think you'd get the same atmosphere if they'd only done songs like the first album.

Their pop is weird religious crap.
And their clothes that are supposed to be all good are shit.

And CM is the least attractive front man ever. He seems the opposite of down to earth also. Bizzare weird and boring.
