But it's not so much that they are true believers, I think. It's the pressure from the junior members and the student labour societies. They seem to have a lot of influence.

I find it a little strange that you haven't informed yourself of the various party political positions already then if it's "important" to you.

It's like how the Scottish Government (and all parties) were warned repeatedly that the GRR bill would impact equality legislation across the whole of the UK. They ignored the warnings, pushed ahead and then had the humiliation of the section 35.
