can't bring myself to vote for reform but I'm interested to hear their views on the women's rights v trans rights issue

Can't say I know the answer but I'd be surprised if Farage was nearer to the Labour rather than the Conservative stance on it.

Presumably the same silly cunts that bought in to Brexit will buy into their propaganda.

Now THIS is kind of post that is 100% guaranteed to win over people who voted for Brexit/may be leaning to the right a bit, and turn them back to the left a bit and away from Reform or Tories. Really articulate, intelligent, well thought out post. Well done.

#sarcasm🙄

Give me actual bloody STRENGTH.

You are literally a glowing example of why people are swaying to the right. Have a word with yourself FFS! You are embarrassing yourself!

Why are you scared, hun?

Do you need a lie down?

How condescending!

Their website says they will make single sex spaces mandatory.

https://www.reformparty.uk/children-and-families

It's a big concern of mine but I can't bring myself to vote for them either.

On the contrary, I thought that post by @TheThingIsYeah was hilarious! 😆

OP is acting faux traumatised because Reform are gaining a lot of traction! WTAF?! 😆

Although some of The Left are quaking in their boots, at the thought of yet ANOTHER trouncing! 😆

Indigococo84 · 08/06/2024 23:36

I genuinely think they could win the seat in my area. I’ve heard lots of people saying they will vote reform.

Voterswung · 08/06/2024 23:36

@FOJN that's a short line, mandatory single sex spaces.. Is it enough? What about prison and running races ect

FOJN · 08/06/2024 23:39

Voterswung · 08/06/2024 23:36

No it's not enough and to be honest I don't think women are enough of a consideration for them to have either fully understood the issues or given much thought to a detailed policy.

Voterswung · 08/06/2024 23:41

I agree but which party is! What is anyone saying about this.

SherbetDips · 08/06/2024 23:43

Because they talk a lot of sense. If my area had a candidate I’d vote for them. Sadly they don’t.

FOJN · 08/06/2024 23:49

Voterswung · 08/06/2024 23:41

The Tories - status quo on self ID. More guidance on single sex exemptions in the EA. Evidence based gender health for minors.

Reform - mandatory single sex spaces.

Labour - protection of "safe spaces" for women, no clarity on what that means. GRC obtained with signature of one doctor, no clarity on required credentials for that doctor or GRC qualifying criteria.

Lib dems/Greens/SNP - fully committed to self ID afaik.

Have a word with myself? About what? You expect me to attempt to persuade stupid people not to vote for Reform? The same people that bought into Brexit?
Ok.
Not embarrassed in the slightest.
You do you Hun.

Infuriating isn't it?! But some left-wing (far left moreso,) in their echo chamber can't see it. Can't see how their vile insults and name calling is doing NOTHING to help sway people or change their opinions. No sensible discussion, or talking, and offering suggestions, or asking questions etc. Just 'voted for Brexit did you, you thick racist c-nt,' and 'bigoted thickos voting Tory again!' And 'fucking gammon wrecking my childrens future.'

One bloke I know - who was 24 when we had the EU referendum - took a photograph of a house near him with a UK flag (on a flagpole) in the garden, and posted it on Twitter, with the caption 'here lives a thick racist c-nt.' He had that he was from Rochdale on his profile, and the name of the ROAD was in the photo, (and the house number visible!) so this house and the people in it were easily identifiable.

THIS (sadly) is the mentality of SOME of the left. If someone had a LibDem flag or Green Party flag in their window, you wouldn't get centric or right wing people snapping a photo of their HOUSE, with the number and road name on it, calling them thick c-nts and posting it on Twitter.

SOME people who are for 'the left' (moreso far left,) are waaaaay more vicious, vitriolic, mean-spirited, and spiteful and nasty than any right wing person I have ever met. Yet they act like their shit don't stink, like they're the good guys, and say everyone who doesn't agree with them is a thick, bigoted, racist c-nt.

Just impossible to have a discussion with them. They don't have the ability to do it. They just spit venom, they name-call, and they mock and goad.

(nb; the man wasn't from Rochdale. Don't want to identify anyone.)

Popular with people who lack critical thinking skills, I dont think they'll last & Farage is a joke.

Yes, sums it up perfectly. The ultimate lack of critical thought

Awwww bless. 😆 Such a clever username. Did you come up with it all by yourself? Smile

Calm down. There's nothing you can do about what is to come! 😎

I do know I CBA to talk to you anymore. As I and many others have said, SOME (far left) people are impossible to debate with, because they REFUSE to hear anyone's views but their own, and the others in their each chamber. And they just goad and berate and insult, because that is all they are able to do, because they have no valid argument.

So I am done with you now. Do not talk to me again.

Mental health care is something I feel strongly about and is unworkable in its current form but I’ve not heard from any party how they will address this particular issue which makes me unsure who to vote for.
Although it definitely won’t be tories!

Seen 2 videos today, from the town down the road .. In one a Reform candidate was saying that he decided to stand after he saw the number of foreign people at the airport (for foreign read “non white”), it was pointed out that many of these people were tourists or British people coming fro abroad .. to which he had no answer.

@ExtraOnions also, a lot of foreigners are white eg Europeans, the US. It's funny because illegal immigrants are hardly going to arrive in England via aeroplane! My non-white grandparents emigrated to England before my mum was born and arrived via aeroplane, but they weren't illegal immigrants.

Legal migration occurs at a much higher rate than illegal migration. This is why the small boats receive relatively little attention—they represent a tiny percentage of the total migration.
