My husband is 20 years older than me and noone turns a hair People aren't so understanding when the woman is older If you want to and he wants to go for it !

Yeah, it's a bit 😥 to see on here actually -
What, if you're a woman in your forties if you're going out with a man in their twenties they're only with you as they see you as a fetish, a kink?
Or that you as the woman is insinuated to be some sort of paedo (er hello they're in their twenties)

Sorry but WTAF is wrong with you

Creepy on both sides. How are you not creeped out by this man fetishising you based on your age? And you actually considering someone who’s old enough to be your child just for a (likely disappointing) quicky?

Surely you mean young enough to be OP's child?

What, that they think about shagging their mum?!
I repeat my original question. WTAF is wrong with you.
Maybe seek help

Sleep with who you want if it's consensual and they are of legal age. This is what men do.. and why not?

I'm the same age and 23 is way to close to my oldest son's age. He's 17 and all his friends are late teens/early 20's. They are basically all kids to me. I do find some of them very cute and charming, but in a maternal way. Like I want to feed them and tell them to drive safely, not shag them!

This is how I feel too!

If I knew my son was seeing a woman my age or older I’d wonder if she was a bit off in some way. And I’d feel a bit worried for my son. There’s a bit of an uneven power dynamic when one has life experience and one doesn’t.

If you were a man there would be uproar.

we met on a dating site where he wanted to meet older woman

A site where you were actively seeking a big age gap?

But if we were men we would be telling her/him to go for it. I can't imagine a man in his forties starting a thread like this though...

For what its worth I wouldn't. Its not illegal or immoral in the sense you aren't taking advantage of them really. They are adults. But it would feel off to me. But thats me.

No. About 100 miles away. Although these women might have moved! 😆

Then there are more than a couple of them around!

No, it isn’t, because it isn’t a normal thing.

Zanatdy · 07/06/2024 03:21

God no, younger than my oldest and close in age to my middle child. But if that floats your boat…

How old are you both now ? It's all good fun when you are 20&40 or 30 &50. 45 & 65, not so much.

Mummadeze · 07/06/2024 05:50

I honestly don’t see why not if you are not looking for a serious relationship. It could be a fun fling for both of you.

OfcourseitsaNC · 07/06/2024 05:57

Go for it.

I did.

Aged 46, I had a few hook ups with a 25 yr old. They were the best fun after a long marriage ended. Exactly what I needed. Except when he couldn't keep up with me. 😁

To all of you saying the age is too close to your child's, DS was 18 at the time. The guy did not remind me of DS or his friends in the slightest.

We both enjoyed it for what it was. A few afternoons of blissful sex.

Do it OP and enjoy!

BernardBlacksBreakfastWine · 07/06/2024 06:20

LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway · 06/06/2024 23:11

Well, exactly why would you?! I've known 5 or 6 women over the years, between 40 and 52 who dated men 18 to 23 years younger, and they would get really snippy and arsey and whiny, when every 3rd person they met, thought that he was their son.

They would sulk and moan and say 'why do they they think he's my son, he looks nothing like my son?! He's 24. My son's only 18.' Hmm Absolutely hilarious! On some level, every single one of them thought that they looked about 12 to 15 years younger than they were ... And that their 'boyfriend' looked a few years older.

So for some crazy reason, they actually thought they looked roughly the same age ... Literally could not comprehend whatsoever that they all looked their age, and did indeed look at least two decades older than their boyfriend.

This post is dripping with exactly the kind of nasty, spiteful judgement that’s driving the whole ‘against’ argument. Oh look, she thinks she looks young, but she actually looks at least as old has his mother, snigger snigger. Grow up!

FlakyPoster · 07/06/2024 07:04

Sleep with whomever you want. He is old enough and so are you to decide who you have sex with.
Have fun
