To think that botox, fillers, and other facial procedures are becoming too common?

I've just seen the recent pictures of the lovely Shania Twain. She's had so much facial work done that she looks unrecognizable! I find this such a shame given how naturally beautiful she's always been!

I also feel that facial work is causing a division between rich and poor women. I'm not sure what the answer to this is though?

If woman want it and it's safe for then I really couldn't care less - you earn money and you spend it on what you like. It's not something I've ever felt the need for but I could easily afford it - happy to grow old gracefully - not if there was surgery that stopped my joints from aching and gave me better mobility and fitness - I'd be tempted!

Is it a rich poor divide thing? I know many that prioritise their looks. That's a sign of the times.

Not really. I actually see more obvious trout pouts etc. in the poorer areas of town, although I suppose it could be that they have done it on the cheap and that wealthier people just have better work.

I don’t get any self respecting medical professional would want to do this stuff. It’s not medical treatment,it’s making money out of people’s insecurities.

I think that's a bit reductive to be honest, I of course like most people have insecurities , it's why I run, dye my hair, I use moisturiser, I get my nails done, it's just another facet of this, vanity? But if I suddenly couldn't afford these tratments, I could cope, I'm thankful that it is medical professionals who actually perform the injections, they are trained in anatomy & where & more importantly where not to inject & you sound like you're looking down your nose at them for " selling out"

Also Botox is used for other medical reasons
