Once a week.

More if I'm sick. I'll usually change them every couple of days to wash away my germs.

Janetime · 14/04/2024 07:52

I do it weekly, the cleaner strips the bed and puts cleans ones on, and I simply wash, dry and leave out for her.

Needanadultgapyear · 14/04/2024 07:53

Currently once every 2 weeks, super long and DH is away a lot.
DH has just had major surgery and will be home bound so probably go once a week as bed will be getting heavier usage with two of us in it all the time.

MyMotherWasANarcissist · 14/04/2024 07:53

Duvet cover, mattress and pillow protectors every two weeks but the fitted bedsheet and pillow cases once a week.

WhiteLeopard · 14/04/2024 07:55

Once every two weeks. We don't have a tumble dryer so getting it all dry would be a pain if I did all 4 beds every week (in the winter - easier in the summer).

dottiedodah · 14/04/2024 07:57

Usually every 2 weeks. More if hot 🔥 or we are unwell.

whirlyhead · 14/04/2024 07:58

Sheet every week. Duvet cover once a month. I try not to do too much washing due to water shortages where I live plus environmental considerations. I’m always amazed by the amount of washing people on Mumsnet do - no wonder everyone is stressed and time poor!

ErnestCelendine · 14/04/2024 07:58

Aim for weekly, sometimes this slips to fortnightly.

Meadowfinch · 14/04/2024 08:01

Once every two weeks but I'm single. No big sweaty man in my bed.

First week I sleep on the left, second week I sleep on the right. 🙂

You should read OP's other thread where she says she does 25 loads of washing a week, including towels after 1wash, and every item of clothing after 1 wear...

I like your thinking, week on the left, week on the right made me crack up, a woman working smart.

Somewhere between the two.

Weekly in summer due to heat/sweat/no jammies plus the quicker line drying time.

Closer to two in winter as we have two bed in regular use, both with King size or Superking bedding so washing and drying both plus other laundry so that can be tricky.

DS does a lot of sport so that generates a lot of washing. On the plus side he showers a lot😁

exomoon · 14/04/2024 08:04

Once in a month in winter.

Once a fortnight in summer.

Neither of us are stinky people.

KaleKitchen · 14/04/2024 08:04

I am for weekly, but it usually ends up every two weeks.

KaleKitchen · 14/04/2024 08:05

aim

I did but have now gone 2 days without washing the towels after every use! So I have made progress.....

Clothes will be washed after every wear I must be a messy person, out for dinner last nigh as I have sauce on my white top.

Ours (adult) probably every 10-14 days, kids maybe every 3 weeks? They are only little so not sweaty and have a bath or shower most nights so always clean getting into bed! I’d clean any bed if it got ‘dirty’ as such or people weren’t well.

Ifailed · 14/04/2024 08:06

once a year, whether it needs it or not.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 14/04/2024 08:09

Sheet and pillow cases weekly and duvet cover fortnightly. No idea why! Probably because it’s a pain to put the cover back on and to iron it.

Alwaysalwayscold · 14/04/2024 08:10

Every Monday.

And FWIW I also wash towels after every use OP.

StepCombatAttack · 14/04/2024 08:10

Can you explain why it’s so important for you to know how often other people wash bedding or themselves, OP?
These threads come up a lot and I’m curious as to why it matters what other people do.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 14/04/2024 08:12

Towels after every use??? You do realise towels are drying clean bodies don't you?

BatteryPoweredPeacock · 14/04/2024 08:12

Weekly on a Thursday

spottyhotdog · 14/04/2024 08:14

Once a week. I only have two bedding sets.

Because of another thread that seems was just filled with people with one opinion, where people were getting themselves in a twist, using hysterical language. I was out for dinner with friends and it seemed my habits were usual.

Hope that helps.
