Why are they so bloody lovely? We don’t deserve them do we? Loyalty like no other. Always happy to see you. People are great but dogs just go above and beyond.

Met OH who has a dog. Said dog is now my fur baby and we are joined at the hip. He has helped me get out of my massive depressive state I was in. Gets walked 2-3x a day. Sits on my lap or next to me when I work from home and loves giving cuddles. Thinking of adding a fur companion for him. Don't know where I would be without ,muttley'.

My best friend, my educator, my swimming companion, my protector, and my bloody stubborn cow. My heart could burst. ❤️🐾

My favourite picture of ddog... always makes me smile!
This was his first time on the beach and he just run and jumped and bounced around like a loon!

I love my retriever. Best thing I ever did getting a dog.

thistimelastweek · 07/02/2024 20:46

She's tiny, she's ridiculous and funny, and she's tucked up right by me.

I go to a mental health support group, and we have a therapy dog visit. She is such a calming influence on everyone.

I lost my best friend three years ago and I miss him everyday. Dogs are absolutely the best things ever.

I keep toying with the idea of getting another but it feels like such a huge betrayal to my old doggo.

Luckily, I'm now a grandpupma and a couple of my friends have dogs that I can cuddle.

I thought the same thing when my dog passed away, like I was cheating on him. It was silly as I will love him forever but all I did was punish myself by not getting dog for ten years.
I only recently got another dog and she’s my best friend.

My dog. I bought him seven months after my husband was killed and a month after I was told I was all clear from suspected endometrial cancer.
He is three quarters standard poodle and one quarter golden retriever. He is my shadow and makes life worth living.

❤️❤️❤️

@tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz completely agree although that's not actually my glass of red! But pretty sure I had a glass of white in my hand 🙂

Ok . . . You and your dog have made me ugly cry.

I love my dog so much I sniff his neck because he smells so lovely. He makes my whole world better and I tell him I love him 100000 times a day.

Meadowlands · 07/02/2024 22:22

I am a volunteer dog walker at a rescue centre.
Some of the dogs have been badly abused but still all they want to do is love and cuddle, even though you can see fear in their eyes 🙁

I'm hoping I feel like you guys soon. Ours is 4.5 months but is so bitey. I've done all the things you should plus brought him to training. The kids would love to play with him more but usually as soon as they start it's bite bite bite 🙄 Having said all that he makes us laugh. We lost DH 6 months ago and this boy has been a distraction. Not always a positive distraction! But still... I do think he'll come good in the end.

You think they’re great but I don’t. I don’t want them running towards me, barking at me or sniffing around me. Keep them on a close lead when you’re out with them.

Didn't take long did it

Why would anyone who doesn't like dogs , comment on a dog appreciation post 🙈

Firstly, I'm sorry for your loss 💐

Secondly pupper is probably super excited when they want to play and that's how he'll express himself.

Instead of getting them to play with him try getting them to train him fun tricks using treats. That way he'll have to use his brain and it'll tire him out.

It will pass! Mine was like that, too, at that age. It stopped as soon as he stopped teething. When he starts biting, try shoving a toy into his gob. If that fails (didn't work with mine, my hands were much more fun), make a hight "eek" noise, like another puppy would, and disengage. They learn early from their siblings that if they bite too hard, they either get bitten back (wouldn't recommend, but I bit my puppy Dachshund in the ear when I was six and it worked, he never bit my face again 😂) or the other puppy cries (hence the noise) and stops the play. He should soon learn that biting = end of fun.

My little angel (not always what I call him!) is my companion all day whilst I’m working from home. He’s my Buddy!!

Unforgettablefire · 08/02/2024 12:59

Please keep these lovely posts and pics coming they're so heartwarming.
I lost my boy five years ago and the pain was so immense I've not been able to have another since. Maybe I will one day...I've always had dogs but sometimes there's just one that breaks you.
Anyway, this is my fix and all your dogs are so beautiful thanks for sharing the pics 😍

Dontkillspiders · 08/02/2024 13:23

Dogs big and small are just amazing. Even if you beat that dog it will still love you more than your own mother.
I don't trust people who dislike animals they're weird and off to me.

Lentilweaver · 08/02/2024 13:36

Oh @SpringleDingle I am WFH today and wish I had a dog like yours. He's so precious! Love your view too.

I lost my big boy six years ago and still can't bear to think of those last days. But having my ridiculously barky terrier, who is a total contrast to all that he was, has helped. I just couldn't bear to be without something to cuddle. Hoping you find your way to another doggo sometime.

@thenewaveragebear1983 what is she? Not dissimilar to my French mutt

QueenMegan · 08/02/2024 16:33

I adore mine.
Lovely kind loyal perfect in every way.
A life without dogs isn't worth living.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/02/2024 16:36

@OutingPosts she’s a fox red Labrador. What’s yours?
