To ask if Donald Trump could actually be president again?

I've just seen a headline about him now being the front runner for the Republican nomination. Which I assume means it's entirely a possibility that he could then win.

I'm British (English) so I know our current government is a complete embarrassment. But I will never get my head around DT having been president once never mind possibly twice.

How could this happen??

Same could be said for Biden…. Trump has a huge following.

I really hope not.

I wonder how many of his supporters realise that he would ditch all help to Ukraine if he came into power?

Yeah - he's gonna do it and I'm gonna spend another 4 years turning off the radio everytime his voice is played (which was surprisingly often last time around) because I find it too upsetting to hear it.

I don't have much time for Biden either - though prefer him to Trump.

More and more over the last few years I've come to realise, I don't really understand America at all. Too big, too different from what I know and too diverse. I cannot wrap my head around their political choices.

Biden has just rinsed his approval rating by backing Israel so much, so he won't beat Trump. The Democrats seem to be in a dearth of leadership options at the moment and I'd struggle to name another leader from their side that has any real stature (I am from the UK right enough).

The 'regular' Republicans can't seem to unite behind one candidate (and given the options, I cant say I blame them) so the MAGA mob will see Trump through more or less unopposed from any angle.

The thing I don't understand is why the Democrats can't find a better candidate than Biden?

The whole thing is a mess. Both parties have deeply unsuitable candidates. Biden looks like a pensioner with dementia shuffling round a nursing home and Trump is like that racist, sexist, nasty old uncle at a wedding who everyone tolerates acting like a selfish boorish asshole. Why didn’t the democrats stand up to Biden and chose a different, younger candidate?

Why can't they pick someone who is younger? Why is there only a choice of 2 old wrinklies?

Not only a possibility, but quite likely I should imagine.

I can't fathom why

1. America doesn't have an upper age limit on presidents

2. why someone found guilty of fraud is allowed to be president

3. why America is so batshit crazy!

Also - expect Trump to try to force through a change in the law so he can be president for more than 2 terms...

I get why none of the younger potential candidates have no desire to get involved in any of this - it'll be an absolute disaster no matter who stands up and probable career-wrecker. In their best interests to let the old men fight it out until they're dead and out the picture then try to bring some new thinking along

If I was going to vet on who will win ( not who I want to win) I would be fairly sure Trump will win
