To be disappointed partner booked "holiday" ?

So me and partner have 2 holidays booked this year.
Greece in September and a ski holiday in December.
I'm more than happy with this
He has now told me he has booked us 3 nights in Gran Canaria in 4 weeks
I questioned the 3 nights thing and he said they were really cheap flights (under £20 ) so he thought why not
Aibu to be a bit annoyed
It's a long way to go for 3 nights
We land on the Sunday at 10.30 am
We fly back on the Wednesday at 11.30 am

Would you be annoyed going all that way for 3 nights ?

I would love it. It's not far at all. Just the pick-me-up we need in this awful weather

It actually sounds great. You were already planning 2 nights in Leeds so is this going to cost that much more? I imagine you would spend more doing stuff in Leeds than enjoying the sun in Gran Canaria.

Is your objection that he didn't discuss it first?

You'd hate this new FB group I came across recently called Extreme Day Trips - people do stuff like early morning flight to Iceland or Krakow or wherever, then they're back the same night!

We can afford one holiday abroad a year and you’ve got two booked and whinging about a third? It’s a lovely thing to do. I think you’re a miserable sod personally.

DH and I went to Teneriffe for 4 nights last March, it was a lovely little break!

he booked it without discussing?
he booked it without considering other dependencies?
he booked it and you have other plans?
he booked it but you don't like being told what to do?
that he always does this, never considers what you want to do, doesn't ask, doesn't think?

It really is not such a long way…but i used to fly 13 hrs for 2-3 days so might not be the best to judge 🤣 go enjoy your bonus break
