We've just spend a lot getting our kitchen done.
I was advised gloss would be easier to keep clean, and we had matte (well painted wood) cabinets before so decided gloss no handles.
It's showing every bloody finger print! Yes it cleans very easy but every day there is are fingerprints.

Does it look ok? Honest opinions please 😞

I think the older one has more character and it looks bigger.

You could have kept that opinion to yourself! It's not very helpful to the OP who can hardly turn the clock back.

Your new kitchen looks lovely.
I have red gloss cabinets in the kitchen (private rent, so not my choice) and my god, every smear, drip and finger print shows up. You can't even just wipe it with a damp cloth as the moisture leaves water marks. Gloss is a pain but yours does look good

The op specifically asked for "Honest opinions please" so will be expecting postive and negative opinions.

The old kitchen did look bigger, but the op will know she has more cupboard space and she may prefer that. "Character" is subjective and a fair opinion.

it is quite insulting to the op to think she isnt capable of understanding that when she asked for the opinions 🤔

@Wingedharpy yes and yes... why? I'm worried now haha

Yep black sink and extremely hard water here too and it’s constantly a mess 😒

Most kitchen cabinets have issues, we used to have cream wood with like a grain in it but then dust/food would get stuck in the grain so I’d have to scrub them, took ages to clean. We moved a year ago and I said I wanted completely different so went matt navy blue. What a nightmare! The grease and water stains are terrible. They are easier to clean though with being smooth wood. As it was new build and limited on choice in our price range, I try not to over think it. So next time no cream, no navy!

Gorgeous. I'm Jel. My kitchen is 42 years old : (
Never going to be able to afford a new one as we need a new toilet/ bathroom.
I think once you 'break it in' you won't be so worried about how pristine it looks. I hope everyone else is on cleaning duty though!
