To ask opinions on my new kitchen..

We've just spend a lot getting our kitchen done.
I was advised gloss would be easier to keep clean, and we had matte (well painted wood) cabinets before so decided gloss no handles.
It's showing every bloody finger print! Yes it cleans very easy but every day there is are fingerprints.

Does it look ok? Honest opinions please 😞

It's a lovely kitchen. We went with a matt finish because of fingerprints on gloss and didn't get plinth lights because I thought it would show if the floor needs sweeping/mopping. A good call because the gorgeous tiles we chose are complete dirt magnets. They look mucky as soon as they've been cleaned and I wish, on a daily basis, I'd gone for the wood effect tiles that I've got in my conservatory. Sigh!

OP your kitchen looks gorgeous! We previously had gloss units, and I found the black gloss much worse for fingerprints than light coloured like yours. Enjoy! X

I think the older one has more character and it looks bigger.

Similar to mine but I find the gloss doors a twat to keep clean. And I can’t wait to change the worktop it shows up EVERYTHING!! Every crumb etc!
Might be because I live with 3 very untidy males though!

Your new kitchen is lovely 😊we have white gloss, no handles & same problem but I tried a light solution of warm soapy water & drying off with my karcher window vac, then light buff with micro cloth once a week, takes no time!

To be fair, rtbat sounds like a faff. And then you’re done, and someone touches it, and it’s another week until you clean like that again….

There are certainly handles in the first photo, which is the "before," as well as the Death Eater that @DontLeanOnTheKeyboard mentioned. However, what looks like handles or knobs on the second is reflections in the high-gloss. Except for two pulls that look like they may (or may not) be below a cooktop.

No it’s handles not a reflection!! There are handles on every cupboard, long silver handles.

Looks lovely but as you say it shows every mark, I was advised to have laminate, but I’m forever wiping it over, just one of those things, but I do like the finish, and people say it looks lovely just hard work.

Gloss isn't to my taste but it looks clean and tidy. The only design thing I couldn't live with would be the kickboard lights. I don't think they add anything aesthetically and likely just illuminate any grot on the floor.

P.S. That is definitely not a handleless kitchen.

This is an example of a handless kitchen, OP. It has a lip cut into the profile of the actual cupboards rather than an additional pull, albeit yours are minimalist in design.

The colour is horrible (sorry) but it looks like a decent quality kitchen, well installed etc. You can’t see fingerprints in the photo though so maybe it’s not that noticeable? I also have handleless gloss but in white (similar to the attached pic) and would always advise people against this style. I also hate that the ridge bits that function as handles on my base cabinets/drawers end up collecting loads of crumbs and dirt so at least your handle style is better than that!

It's a lovely kitchen, what an improvement. Just settle for a weekly wipe over or wipe if anyone is coming over.

Your kitchen looks very similar to OP's. Do you mean you don't like the colour of yours either?

Maybe you could have said "I am not keen on the colour" rather than "the colour is horrible".

Mine is white, OP’s looks like a more beige sort of colour? But yes, I could have phrased it differently. Certainly beige will show less dirt than white, so it has its benefits too.

No I wipe main doors, dish washer, bin drawer but not all every week as I have 40 cupboards & drawers just the ones I use every day- the karcher is superb as I have a sore shoulder so don’t want to be rinsing my cloth every 2 minutes 😩

It's perfect, a lovely kitchen .I use Method Glass Spray, works wonders. A black utensil bar would be fab over the sink , a few wooden chopping boards upright against the walls and a lovely plant in a woven pot. If you feel really fancy a bowl of lemons always looks good!
